Spacious lakeside cabin in the heart of the Northwoods
Whether you like waking up to the chirping of the birds in the middle of the forest, spending a whole day fishing, or enjoying the "Best In the Midwest" downhill skiing in a nearby Ski Brule, Homestead is a place to be! It is a lakefront cottage with a lovely view from either of the wide decks facing the lake, one upper and one lower. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a "bonus room" with flat screen satellite TV with DVD player and a large great room / kitchen. There is a freestanding gas Franklin stove for the cool Northwoods evenings. The kitchen in this unit has a dishwasher and a garbage disposal. The master bath includes a washer and dryer as well. The large master bedroom has a king size bed, 2 of the bedrooms have queen beds and the 4th bedroom has a set of twins. There is still a fire ring overlooking Stanley Lake and a BBQ grill on the upper deck. The view of the sunsets is worth taking time to settle into a deck chair.
Ski Brule is just around the corner and they are now open and full of snow!!!

We wanted to rent a cabin close to Ski Brule and found this gem. We were less than 10 minutes away which is nice for all the items we forgot with 3 children. It was during the artic blast and the house was very warm:)
This is a beautiful property, very clean and well kept, in a great location. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The host was welcoming and very easy to work with.
This is a beautiful property and very well maintained. The host, Tom, is great to work with, very accommodating and responsive. There was a new refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, as well as a new dock on the lake.
The cabin was great for our group of friends. It is right by the lake and has a great outdoor balcony to enjoy the scenery. Tom was very communicative and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.
40+ years staying at Lac O Seasons for the Brauns/Gouldings and it’s always a wonderful week. Staying at the Homestead is just lovely! The accommodations are perfect for our group, a full kitchen, two full bathrooms and lots of sleeping quarters. Plenty of room for activities and of course, a beautiful view of Stanley Lake. The loons sing us to sleep every night and the cool evenings are a perfect break from hot summers back home. Thank you for a glorious summer retreat. We will see you next year!
Our family has been staying at Lac O Seasons for 40+ years. We enjoyed our stay at the Homestead very much. The rooms are clean and comfortable with lots of room. The kitchen and living room is large enough for all of us to get together for puzzles, games and food. We love the Upper Peninsula. Thanks for making our trip just perfect!
We loved the Homestead cottage! Very cozy, quiet and clean. Less than 5 minutes from Ski Brule, we’d definitely stay here again! Tom answered all my questions promptly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We were overjoyed with our accommodations. Room to gather yet have personal space.
Kids enjoyed the checkers (but one black piece was missing). The host, Tom, was very helpful and made us feel very welcome despite very short booking notice on our part. We are hoping to come back again.
This was our 3rd stay in Homestead. We Love this house! It was perfect for our group of 6 adults and our Granddaughter. The house was spotless!! We arent going to lie. With the clubhouse closed we thought we wouldnt have much extra to do but we had the best week. We cant wait to be back next year!!!!!!!
We had another phenomenal week at the Homestead:) This property is always spotless and homey:) Time seems to stand still in the UP and nothing changes about it:) The weather was great except for one day. The memories we made as a Family we will cherish forever. Our kids, our In laws and grandkids have found their favorite Vacation spot! We can’t wait to return! Tom is a fabulous host.
The only negative is the Clubhouse. We all wish it were open! The pool would draw many more people back. If I win the lottery I’m going to save it:)
I’ve stayed at these cabins regularly growing up. I was pleasantly surprised by how the new owner updated the property. The cabin was clean and welcoming. And the space was perfect as a main gathering area for the larger family.
I had a little bit of trouble finding the right cabin because they all have the same address. I also had some trouble with the keypad lock but I think this was my fault. The great thing was that the owner answered my calls right away and was very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay there again.
My son and a couple friends attended the Thanksgiving training at Ski Brule. This cabin was a perfect location, close, plenty of room and clean. It was a little difficult finding at night but Tom answered his phone immediately and gave us more detailed instructions. I would definitely stay her again.
Absolutely stunning cottage! We stayed with a family of 6 and there was plenty of space for all of us (and more!). Nice warm, clean house in a peaceful area. The kids really enjoyed the lake access and campfire. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Will be back when the skiing season kicks in!
