"Third Gem" is the perfect home for ISU parents, traveling nurses, teachers coming in for some work at the U or anyone who needs a fun and clean place to stay just two blocks from ISU campus. Our Cape Cod is located on a quiet street with free street parking, spacious living areas, shared laundry and second to none design / vibes.
We are professional hosts since 1999 and this is our part time home. We LOVE Poky!!
Aloha! We have been hosting since 1999 and although we are available if you need anything or want some tips about the area, we will definitely leave you alone 100% unless you call on us.
Very quiet, mostly filled with folks who’ve been in the neighborhood for 20 or 30 years or more. There are a few homes with students nearby but it’s amazingly quiet. Pocatello is a very blue-collar area and people work hard and play hard in the outdoors. We feel like you can access scout mountain, pebble Creek or even head up north to Sun Valley or Jackson for the day!
Your private entrance has a smart lock on the main house upstairs and you can park in the driveway off the street. There's no shared entrance with the apartment downstairs.
It’s important that you know that this property near Idaho State University is a duplex of sorts (like most homes in the area). Les who is a local student in graduate school lives downstairs. You will share the laundry which is in the basement, but please do not bother Les whose entrance door is downstairs in the basement. Les uses the side door of the house to access their apartment. You use the front door.
You do not share living space or cross paths in any way other than the shared laundry space.
Because this is the upstairs of a multi-unit home, you may have someone else on the property, but your entire living space is 100% private. It’s decorated with eclectic art and furniture and gives a funky vibe that you're sure to enjoy.
We definitely recommend renting or having a car to explore all that Pocatello and nearby areas have to offer!
We think this is the perfect location if you want to hang out in Pocatello. It’s just a stones throw to the University, you can run the trails around Redhill or walk down to mocha madness. You were also just a block from Elmers and even just a quick John to Main Street if you want to hit the bars and have some fun.
