Easter treat

We had a wonderful Easter at this cozy mountain home! We visited together with friends. The kids had a blast playing table tennis and going on an egg hunt! Skiing nearby Jay Peak was awesome. The kitchen is well equipped to feed a crowd. The rooms are spacious and decorated with design. A real feel good and recharge place. The light in the evening was gorgeous. This must be a great place to go in summer as well with all the outdoor options and the nice scenery. There is a small brook running by the house. Amanda is a great host and we hope to be able to come back! Thanks!

Great Location to Jay and Amazing House

We have stayed at many different mountains for February vacation over the years and this was our best house yet. The house was very clean and had everything you need (including boot dryers in the garage!!) There was plenty of space to house two families comfortably. The yard was nice and the kids played in the stream. We enjoyed the fact that there were two living room areas. Adults could socialize downstairs and the kids could watch movies or play games upstairs. Amanda was a great host and we would recommend this property to anyone staying at Jay. (Just 10 minutes to the mountain.)

The property has a very well stocked kitchen, all rooms looked brand new and clean, there was plenty of comfortable beds, close to Jay Peak ski resort. The owner communicated everything clearly and quickly before and during the stay.

About the host

Host profile image
I live in northwestern Vermont with my family not far from our rentals. We have a family business called Teapot Homes that focuses on saving old and forgotten houses and turns them into rentals or homes for sale. I recently left my full-time job to pursue my dream of running a couple of local short-term rentals and having the flexibility to be a present mother. Having stayed at many short-term rentals in my travels I was inspired to create my own. I absolutely love providing a comfortable stay and great customer service to people. My family does all of our own management, maintenance and cleaning. When you stay with us your comfort and safety is our number one priority.

Why they chose this property

This property has 18 acres with trails to wander. Everywhere you look there are mountains- Little Jay, Big Jay and Hazens Notch. They all circle and hug this little valley where the cabin sits. Along the front of the property between the cabin and the Mountain Road runs a beautiful little brook called Hannah Clark Brook. By the stone bridge is a water hole to swim in and the brook has 1600 feet of rocks, water and little rapids to explore. This place easily connects you to the strength and the healing power of nature. The setting is awe inspiring and brings such joy to be here. We thought it was perfect to share!

What makes this property unique

On a quiet side road just off of the main Mountain Rd. (Rt. 242) conveniently located between Jay Peak Resort and Montgomery Center. Only minutes to shopping, dining and experiences while offering a feeling of peace and seclusion from the world.
