Very clean. Hot tub was great. Didn't realize it was a loft and not a second bedroom. Little scary for a 2 year old and a bit difficult for grandparents.
My family, dog, and I spent the night here on a two day stay in the Driftless. My mother and partner went kayaking on the Upper Iowa, while my dad and I did some fly fishing nearby. Great spot to come crash after a long day outside enjoying nature!

Disliked: Communication, location
Great cabin, but not in a quiet area
Pros: The cabin was exactly as described, super clean and stocked with everything we needed. It was extremely comfortable and a perfect spot for a family of 4.
Cons: The cabin is not in a quiet area as shown in the pictures. It's next to a Sportsman motel. For the most part it wasn't an issue but there was a lot of traffic going in and out of the shared driveway. It's also right on the highway with fast traffic.
Also the host changed our booking to the week following the original week booked. This was done about a week prior to our trip after we had the place booked for weeks and it was confirmed booked through VRBO.
Overall I'd recommend the property because of how great the cabin was. It's perfect for families with older kids or adults only. However, we will not return due to the location and inconsideration of the booking change.
The cabin was nice. It was listed as a 2 bedroom and it was not. It was a one bedroom and a loft accessed with a ladder.
Host was late getting us info to check-in but we could have asked also. We adapted well.
Had a great time would do again if we were 20 years younger to do that ladder.
We received a message from host after leaving home that we had to provide our own propane for the grill, shouldn't list as an amenity if it's not provided. Bought a new tank so we could use the grill. The listing says 2 bedroom with a queen bed in each, there was 1 queen bed in one room and 3 small beds in a loft with a sketchy ladder. Do not recommend if you have larger men in a group. The sheets for beds in loft were on the floor when we arrived meaning they were dirty and no clean ones put back on beds. Website shows check in at 4pm and check out at 10am, posted in cabin in at 3pm and out at 11am. Outside area was nice with the hot tub and fire ring. Really close to highway which isn't super busy so not a deal breaker. Location next to trout streams was nice. If the listing is updated to match what is there so we know what to expect would it would be better. Also need to be better at making sure the place is fully cleaned. Fix those things and I would recommend.
It was a perfect place to go for a home base near Luther College. Clean, easy to communicate with the owners, and close enough to see the college but far enough to not be surrounded by college life. Things I wish would have been mentioned before booking: the grill is available but you must bring your own propane. The fire pit is available but you must bring your own firewood. The pictures are not up to date. There is a privacy fence around the hot tub, which is very nice. There is a line of motel rooms to the left of the small home, which had a lot of hunters there with weapons coming and going. As a single mom, traveling alone with a teenage son, I would have gone somewhere else, as I wanted to avoid being around a ton of strangers. The home is at the end of a narrow property, that starts with a larger home, a long line of motel rooms, and then the tiny home. There is not a body of water by the property, which is what the pictures make it look like there is. They also request that you bring your own towels if you plan to use the hot tub as they do not provide enough. There is a washer/dryer combo. Dryer can be used but the washer is padlocked. There is zero signal near the property and in order to connect to the outside world you must connect to the wifi. That was fine until I was trying to use my gps to travel to places and could not connect. I wasn’t there to solely fish but I thought my kid could fish from the property. He couldn’t. Great hosts. So clean. Gorgeous setting
