About this property

Epic Views, Huge Windows, Hot Tub, Family Friendly - Burro Trail Vista

Burro Trail Vista is a classic Colorado mountain cabin. This beautiful home features mountain cabin styling, high end appliances, family friendly amenities with a ping-pong table and hot tub. It is located on a hilltop lot at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac only 5 miles North of Fairplay and less than 25 miles from Breckenridge, this home is a perfect home base for any Colorado Rocky Mountain Adventures!

As you enter the home, you are greeted by the floor to ceiling windows of the Great Room that feature epic views across the valley. The open concept Great Room and Kitchen make spending quality time as a family easy! Comfortable seating around the television and gas fireplace provides a cozy central living space for all to share. The ample counter space of the well appointed Kitchen with stainless steel appliances ensures that you have everything you need to whip up a delicious meal for your loved ones, then settle in for your meal time or a good game around the dining table with dinner side window vistas as far as the eye can see.

The full size Central Bathroom located in the hallway offers a standard vanity and toilet with a bathtub/shower combo so you can choose to start the day with a quick and refreshing rinse or you can sink in for a long, hot soak after all the activities a day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains may afford. Across the hallway from the bathroom is the Queen Bedroom featuring large windows, a new Queen size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, a dresser and standard built-in closet. At the end of the hallway you will find the Bunk Bedroom and Ensuite Half Bathroom with toilet and small vanity. This room features large windows, a Queen over Queen size Bunk bed - both fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, and wall length built in shelving storage with bins.

Make your way up the steps to the cozy open Loft Bedroom where you are greeted by identical Queen size beds fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens and velvety comforters.
As you make your way to the ground level of the home, you enter the unfinished basement. A full size ping-pong table and stack-able washer/dryer unit is available for guest use, so no need to waste precious vacation time waiting at the laundromat in town.

The front porch of the home offers outdoor seating, a propane BBQ grill and a hot tub available for guest use. Glacier Ridge is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property. Additionally, the wetland area located less than 3 miles from the home is one of the few areas where you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat.

Nice Ski Base

Great place for skiing, ice climbing, fishing in the area. One rug needs a little more cleaning effort but everything else was clean and functional!

as advertised, great house, excellent provisioning and professional mgmt.

House was "as advertised". It had incredible views. It was the best provisioned STR house I have ever stayed at. The mgmt company was thorough, responsive and competent. Hope to see you back again!

Amazing!

Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and in good repair. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the porch is incredible. One of the best rentals we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.

This cabin was like a dream come true!

Most beautiful cabin secluded in the woods; definitely a winter wonderland experience. We welcomed Christmas sitting in the hot tub on deck under the stars which was quite the experience. From the Ping Pong table to the fireplace, it is perfect. This cozy cabin has it all. Just a short drive to Breckinridge. Will definitely come back and stay here again! Thank you for such a memorable dream vacation.

Great location - management company was a disappointment

This is the best location we have stayed at in the last 5 summers we have visited Colorado. 360° views and very secluded. Loved the location. The house was fine. We would book it again but we were disappointed with the lack of maintenance to the property. There were zero chairs to sit on on the deck. 3 were broken and thrown under the steps outside. One was on the deck and it was so loose/wobbly that it was not even useable. We had to sit on the deck on beach towels. It looked as if there was a big party thrown at the home before our stay. Solo cups and trash under the couches, ants swarming the entry way and they were entering home when we opened the front door. Silly string all over the property, random fork outside on the deck. Ping pong table had no balls. Lack of upkeep with this property was a huge disappointment on that side. The house has no ceiling fans or AC. The information at the home note this and says to use fans and open windows to cool the house down. There are a couple of plug-in fans in the closets to use but the main big window that opens in the kitchen does not have a screen so you are left to have bugs/mosquitos flying in the home or keep it closed. The afternoons got very hot. Would have been nice to have some chairs to sit on outside, to make the home feel more comfortable. Again, would rent again based on the location but this property management company needs to spend a little time on upkeep with this home. It was not guest ready when we arrived.

Great place!

Beautiful cabin! Huge windows provided an amazing view. Very clean and cozy, as advertised. It’s equipped with everything you need. Communication was professional and excellent. I would definitely recommend it! The only downside was that there was only one tv but that was not a big deal, everything else was perfect!

Amazing views, great location, a few inconveniences

We stayed at this cabin with our family of two adults and three kids, 4/4/7. The views are incredible from the house, the deck, and especially the hot tub. At night, we had a 360 degree view of the stars, like being in a planetarium, which was a huge highlight. The main floor of the house was clean and tidy with comfortable sheets and beds. It did "live small," as the loft area is really only for sleeping... it would have felt tight with more people, but was comfortable for us. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. This is a new rental, and the management company was still working out some kinks. The basement, with the ping pong table, is sold as more livable space but is a very unfinished basement that hadn't been swept/vacuumed. There were no garbage bins provided to put our trash upon checkout. There were no batteries in the remote for the fireplace. We couldn't find the chemicals for the hot tub, which was nerve-wracking because the paperwork is very stern that if anything goes wrong with the hot tub, there is a $600 fee. I received many automated texts from the rental company with the invitation to text back with any questions, but when I did text at check-on on a Friday, I didn't hear back from anyone until Monday morning. No deal breakers, but small inconveniences that took this stay from five stars to four. Overall, it's in a great location, close to town but still private, and you can't beat those views. I'm sure that they will iron out the bumps with time.
