Golf Trip at the Salty Mermaid

This house hosted us for a golf trip. It was well equipped with everything you would need for a great stay. The house was very clean and was close proximity to the beach and amenities. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great stay!!

Beautiful home, very clean. Stairs would be a challenge for anyone with physical limitations. Bask Away was an exceptional company to work with! Great communication, friendly staff, quick response to any issues we had. Would definitely stay again!

Love love love the Salty Mermaid! What A Beautiful place to stay. Everything was so clean! Large enough for family! Beds are so comfortable. Walking distance to the beach!!! The only down fall they need to put in an elevator, stairs are a killer on the knees!!

Facility was wonderful.

We loved the property. All our family were able to spread out and enjoyed the beach and the area. As an older person the stairs were somewhat daunting, but we managed just fine. We were disappointed that the hot tub is not hooked up and had to pay extra to have the pool heated, but again we did enjoy having a pool. The staff was always helpful and quick to respond to our inquiries. I think a checkout sheet would be helpful.

Amazing

We have been coming to the beach for the last 8 years for family vacation, and rating all the places we have stayed this house was by far the best. So much space that even though it rained our entire stay we were not on top of each other and there were 12 of us. We are planning to come back for next years vaca and hoping to stay in the same house. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable which is a first for us, enough parking for everyone. Easy access to the beach, great eating area on the covered balcony. Everything was superb. There were smart tv’s in every room, everyone had their own bathroom and the kids loved the bunk beds in their room.

Beautiful property

Our family visited Surfside Beach for the first time last week and stayed at The Salty Mermaid. Overall the house was beautifully decorated with room for our entire group of 12. I loved all of the doors that separated sleeping areas from living space so that it stayed quiet for those still in bed in the morning (teens!). The beds were comfortable and the linen/toiletries service was plentiful! We did do a lot of cooking and found the kitchen amenities/serve ware/utensils be light but everything there was clean and we supplemented as needed from Walmart. The pool is nicely divided into three sections and was nice to cool off. There was a lot of leaves and bottom debris in the pool so a mid-week pool service would have been appreciated. Overall an excellent stay!

Just Right

Everything was as expected. Comfortable, easy access, parking, and communication were all very good. The listing does not mention the outdoor spa (which I would call a hot tub), but you can clearly see it in the photos. My group was told that heat was not installed for it, which seems odd. In hindsight, I would have inquired about this before booking, as we wanted a functioning hot tub. Otherwise, everything was very good, and worth 5 stars.

I would recommend heating the hot tub even in the summer. The top floor living room is labeled as a bed room, however there was no comforter or pillows with that bed. We just pulled it from another bed.I would recommend that you keep a comforter and pillows in that room if you consider it a bedroom. It was a very nice place and great location!
