This uniquely colorful, historical little bungalow is your own private resort. Completely walled and gated, private saltwater pool, sprawling grounds, with beautiful mountain views; located one mile from charming Old Town La Quinta and the historic La Quinta Golf and Tennis Resort; 20 miles East of Palm Springs, 5 miles from the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens and 9 miles from the site of Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals, I welcome you to enjoy my little piece of paradise.

Pool heat must be paid in advance of check-in. No standing on or jumping off the table or the stools in the pool and no glass in or around the pool.

Great location, 360 views, pool, dog friendly!
Mary is amazing, great communications, her home is full of treasures we truly enjoyed. My daughter and I stayed here for 2 weeks while she was showing her horse at Thermal. No complaints whatsoever! We will definitely be back!

La Quinta Cove Adventure
Whether it is the solid cinder block walls, low Mexican terra cotta S tile roofline, original Mexican Saltillo Terta Cotta floors, massive bougainvillea bushes or antique Adobe fireplace…..if you want to stay someplace unique this home on a massive old La Quinta Cove double lot surpasses all expectations. Mostly all original windows and doors. Two mini-splits and custom pool just add more to the historic Hacienda ambiance. Best secret…..pre-dawn direct view of moon set over the mountains. The view is incredible. Only recommendation is to provide an artisan to repair the master bedroom hand made French doors so they can be opened to watch the day begin, get fresh air with lovely bird songs from the separate garden area and provide a needed emergency exit. Fast WiFi even thru cindeblock walls! My two little dogs absolutely loved the big side yard and had great fun doing zoomies. Laundry area in garage is clean, neat and great appliances. Very quiet part of La Quinta Cove.

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Private dessert oasis. Literally. One of the best traditional interior design homes we have been to. Everything was adequate and right there. Mary specially took care of all our needs and was super attentive and responsive. Perfect place to spend quite relaxing time. We mostly took advantage of the outdoor space (s), pool is very private and with a view.

Why they chose this property

This unique, historic property is the perfect place to get away; just the right size for a couple (or two) or a family of four. Completely private, walled, gated property with a sparkling saltwater pool, and sprawling grounds with spectacular views. Plentiful outdoor spaces to sit, relax, and enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. The neighborhood is an un-gated community, with beautiful mountain views and is surrounded by a walking/biking trail which leads to hiking areas. "Old Town" La Quinta is 1-mile away; a charming Santa Barbara-like Village with shops, restaurants, salons and seasonally, outdoor music entertainment and a Farmer's Market.

What makes this property unique

I do allow dogs on a case-by-case basis. I will need to know the breed and if approved, I charge a $110 non-refundable fee for the duration of your stay.My pet fee must be made via Zelle or Venmo in advance of your visit. My property is a very safe, secure place for your pet and has plenty of space for them to explore.
