About this property

Mountain Haven offers a romantic ambiance for couples and is a secure setting for wholesome family fun. It provides a secluded quiet setting in a forest that is not "right next to another house." You are on an acre of land that borders the park.

As you sit on the beautiful deck, with your morning coffee, surrounded by trees and a view of the ridge top, deer, blue jays, and turkeys will welcome you. Afterward, you may want to walk on the numerous trails in the nature park, which is conveniently next-door.

The house has a spacious living room, with open beam ceilings, leading out to the upper deck.

The cozy fireplace in the living room is the perfect place to snuggle on chilly nights. Amenities include 55" cable TV, blue-tooth connectivity for your personal devices, and an array of DVDs for all ages.

You’ll find a fully-stocked kitchen, including a microwave, refrigerator, oven, utensils, plates and pots and pans, that will serve all your cooking needs, from a romantic meal for two or a family gathering. Besides a new Keurig, there is also a traditional coffee pot. For your enjoyment, complimentary pods are provided.

Both of the bedrooms have newer queen beds with quality sheets. Also, there is a queen blow-up bed and a foldout one-person sofa in the living room. There are two bathrooms; one contains a shower.

Besides the upper deck, there is also a bottom deck with a large picnic table.

Beautiful Peaceful Cabin

The cabin was nicely equipped and very comfortable. It was a quiet and relaxing place to stay. Definitely would recommend staying here.

WILL DEFINITELY RETURN

Really nice property, very clean house and well- stocked. Beds super comfortable and appreciated the electric blankets. No washer and dryer however if you are planning a long stay. But will definitely ask to book again. Thank you.

Peaceful and perfect.

This was our second stay at Mountain Haven for the Thanksgiving holiday. There were 4 adults and a 4 year old who stayed at the house.The home is very clean and spacious and nicely decorated. Huge living room with a fireplace. Nice kitchen equipped with just about everything you would need, even spices. The property is very large and has many seating areas scattered around. Besides an upper deck, there are 3 different patios on 2 levels. We bundled up and enjoyed the quiet in the crip mountain air. Deer walked through the yard twice that we caught sight of. I never get tired of see them. It was within walking distance to family, so it was the perfect choice for our family to be together.

Retreat in the Trees

Another relaxing weekend

This was our second stay at Mountain Haven. Once again, we were welcomed with ease, thrilled with the cabin and felt the relaxation and rejuvenation in the Julian area. Teresa is a wonderful host and has high standards and service as a host. We plan on being back soon as the lift to our spirits from this magical place is a gift. Peaceful Retreat

It was a really beautiful and spacious modern lodge

It was a very lovely lodge, it was clean the surronding area was really lovely and it was in a nice quiet area right next to the park. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a serene getaway.

Delightful!

This cabin was magical. This trip was two couples who celebrate Thanksgiving together every year with their pups. The cabin was a true celebration of Julian life and was relaxing and comfortable. Teresa was an amazing and responsive host and even checked in on us during a power outage (home has a terrific generator!). We cannot wait to visit again and recommend the cabin and Teresa's service as a host. Thank you for the needed getaway with the best memories!

Great Weekend Getaway!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The cabin was very clean, peaceful, and the layout was great for our family. Our kids had fun exploring in the yard and in the adjacent William Heise County Park. Location was great and a close drive to downtown Julian. Mountain retreat cabin near Julian

We have a lovely time taking a break for a few days up in the hills near Julian, CA. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities needed for cooking. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the desk and a picnic lunch at the table in the shade under the deck. Seeing the birds including turkeys and deer from the deck was just great. We also enjoyed walking some of the trails in the nearby Heise county park and Santa Ysabel nature reserve.

Peaceful

This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors . There are plenty of chairs to sit on outside to enjoy the quiet and watch the wild turkeys walk by. The inside of the house is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. The bed was very comfortable. There are plenty of blankets and towels. Although we didn’t need the blankets because we visited during a heat wave. So we appreciated the air conditioner 😊. Teresa is a wonderful host and it is apparent that she takes pride in her property. We definitely would stay again!

cute cottage

Such a cute place! plenty of room. Our 9 month old granddaughter enjoyed the stairs and all the open floor space for crawling; playground and hiking trails literally down the hill and across the street. Very clean, there were a few ants but bugs expected in the mtns! 2 bathrooms was nice as well.

Feels Like Home Away From Home......Even Better

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. It does not dissapoint! Beautiflul, clean , serene cabin within steps of local hiking trails - although, we could spend every day just in the cottage and surrounding property. We saw wild turkeys, mule deer, blue jays and things we could not identify , but fascinated us just the same. Teresa is an amazing host and we felt welcomed from begininng to end of our stay at her Mountain Haven!

Great way to spend the weekend

Surprise engagement Trip

This property is AMAZING! So serene for a relaxing weekend getaway in the mountains. Stocked with everything we could have needed and more. Steps away from an abundance of hiking trails, short drive into town, and amazing views all around. Very comfortable and clean throughout! Teresa was very attentive, and we loved all the personal touches and photos. What I thought would be a fun weekend getaway turned into my now fiancé proposing during our trip!! This cabin was perfect!!

great vacation spot for the family

great house that has a lot to offer! Very neat and clean when we checked in. House has everything necessary to keep our 3 year old entertained and being walking distance to the county park that has trials and a playground is a plus. Will be going back.
