Great location! We chose this place for the stream running right along the back of the cabin. We had everything we needed for a short weekend stay. Would choose this place again.
This quaint cabin is a beautiful getaway for any family. The porch is where it is at. The back porch sits steps away from the creek and is a wonderful and relaxing experience.
The cabin was exactly as described, had everything we needed. Was clean and well stocked. The back porch was perfect for rocking and drinking coffee! The weather was dreary but we still enjoyed our stay. Very good Internet service. I would definitely rent again!
The property was as described in the listing. The creek and screened in porch were wonderful. We loved the convenience to town with easily driven roads. We saw 5 deer in the early mornings and enjoyed the winery right down the road. The host was very responsive.
It was a HOME, we had the privilege to stay in.
The creek was everything the description said. The area was quiet and everything you need for entertainment was a short drive away. I haven’t stopped talking about it to family and friends!
This property lived up to all that it promised. We loved rocking on the screened in porch, listening to the babbling creek. There were lots of extras around the house such as bath bombs, cotton balls, laundry detergent, s'mores supplies, charcoal, wood... We had fun playing corn hole! The cabin is very convenient to many hiking sites and to downtown ellijay. Plus, the bed was very comfortable. We would have enjoyed a dishwasher. Love the hooks in the bedroom. Would love some in the bathroom, too. Otherwise, we loved our time there! We would definitely come again!
My husband and I spent 5 nights in the cabin during Thanksgiving to escape the craziness of SW FL during the start of snowbird season. The property is huge with vacant lots on both sides. There is a grill area and a firepit with overhead string lights. Perfect with the (not so) noisy creek running through the back.
It was getting dark when we arrived, and we were tired from driving all day. The unexpected Christmas tree and decor made us feel immediately at home. It is a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We loved having the mushroom farm and apple orchards so close. We also enjoyed hikiing the nearby trails.
I would not hesitate to stay here again if we visit Ellijay in the future. It would have been nice to have a book with the wifi password, contact info and checkout procedures, but we figured everything out easy enough. Cell service was spotty at the house. (My husband had service with Verizon. I did not with Boost.) Ellijay is a quaint, safe little town with friendly people and lots of charm.
A small cottage with an abundance of flat land, and loads of character. It feels homey and not like a blank slate hotel room or other VRBOs. The fire pit area and back porch area literally only feet from the creek are to die for! It had everything stocked we could’ve possibly needed and our stay was magnificent. Upon checking in I had saved a copy of the directions that were emailed to us as an attachment which had one door entry code on it, but the correct code was listed in the actual email itself(so just make sure to use that one…no biggie just a minor confusion). Our only critique would be that the mattress could be updated but we definitely recommend this place to stay!
