A quiet retreat
Val was a helpful host from booking confirmation to check out. The room is within a resort and had a nice ocean view. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. The resort was located within walking distance to a small town place with delicious shaved ice, delicious Thai food and deli food and cafe options. Plenty of parking space. Good bathroom and comfortable beds. Aircon was appreciated. Wifi connection was a bit slow but that would be the only thing to mention. Kitchenette was also very handy!

Unbeatable view

Beautiful home, awful customer service
The home is beautiful and the location is great. Everything you need for two people to enjoy the island. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a death in the family. We reached out to Vacasa as a courtesy to let them know the home would be empty earlier than expected. The agent was rude. In the middle of grief and having to cancel a dream vacation to get back to the mainland, Vacasa's team couldn't even offer a simple "I'm sorry for your loss." They were argumentative and never did comprehend that we were simply telling them we were leaving early. For days after, we continued to get "fun" messages from the company telling us they hope we're having such a great time, etc... I would highly recommend this home, but I will likely never use Vacasa again.

Perfect spot and view
We chose this place for our honeymoon. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Kitchen was great to have. View was perfect for us as it overlooked the water and we like to spend a lot of our mornings on the lanai. The location was also nice as it was only 20-25min to travel to the sound of the island and only 40min to the north. Only issue we ran into was heat in the apt with no ac and could use a stronger fan to help move the air through. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. I was very happy with the stay.

Perfect little studio
Great stay, amazing views, just what I needed. Perfect if you’re into ocean breezes, the sound of waves crashing, and close proximity to amenities. Really nothing bad to say. If you need recently upgraded high end appliances, AC, and numerous on site staff, this is not your jam. You will also not find that with this view and location at this price point. Clean, maintained, supplied with everything I needed, laundry available in the complex. 100% satisfied and will be back.

Beautiful Location - Peaceful and Pleasant
The location right above what I call "Little Beach" is perfect. Also, the friendly folk staying there and closeness of community, even though we're strangers, is special. An upgrade on cleaning and more attention to detail would make it perfect.

Perfect!
Beautiful location on the beach and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Full kitchen in an efficiency is a bonus! Would love to stay here on our next visit to Kapaa!

It is an older property with signs of ware on the paint, windows, furniture and stove. One burner did not work. Bathroom was very tiny. Small place. Porch was good. Waves were noisier than desired. Vacasa was very helpful with issues. Could not swim in the beach there. Greek restaurant nearby was great. Centrally located. No air conditioning. Economy priced. Would not stay there again.

Quaint stay
The view was spectacular! Landscaping was fabulous! Quiet area to be and very relaxing. Stayed here for our honeymoon after getting married on shipwreck beach! Actual condo is a little dated but cozy. We weren’t in the room all that often since we tried to snorkel as many beaches around the island as possible!

You get what you pay for
Positives first - great view of the ocean, wonderful grounds around the complex, nice pool, grill was fine, easy parking and easy to get washers/dryers in the laundry room. The entertainment unit was excellent, though no instructions how to use it. Negatives - This apartments appears not to have been renovated since Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Kitchen range/oven is rusting and the refrigerator is functional but old. Microwave and dishwasher were relatively new. The carpet is old and rather gross. Mice in the apartment. Called Val, who is suppose to address all our concerns...responded only to repair the electrical front door lock that took us 6 tries to open when we arrived after traveling 24 hours. The problem reoccurred a day and half later. Left her a voicemail message about the door and the mice. Never heard from her. The door did work fine after that, but mice turds and urine were never addressed. Really gross. The phone number for maintenance on the wall of the apartment is disconnected. I told Val, but no response. The shower faucet is ready to fall off at any time. We had no fire alarm. It was disconnected from the ceiling. We found it on the top shelf in the closet as we were packing to leave. Old and yellow. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were old and cheap. We saw other units in this complex that were lovely. The summary of this unit on Vrbo says nothing about no linen/sheets exchange nor unit cleaning until after you have put down your deposit. Then lo and behold, no linen/sheets exchange nor cleaning unless you pay for it. We were there for 11 nights and we had to pay for these services? I have stayed in many places in my life, but this was a first. Another way for the owner to increase his profit. The daily rental fee is more at much nicer apartments in the complex, so again, you get what you pay for. If this is what you can afford then fine, but if you are looking for a lovely apartment in Kauai, do not rent this apartment.

Worst stay ever on our Hawaii vacation.
We have been coming to Hawaii for the last 25 years+, and this was like horror show. Rats in the unit, totally dated unit, very high price for a studio. Vacasa provides a lot of hype and bureaucracy, and delivers very little Never again!

Soothing waves
Loved the location and the ambiance. Stunning view of the ocean. Close enough to stores and restaurants with a secluded feel. Enjoyed the stay. The bed was perfect and comfortable. The other furniture is outdated and the kitchen could used an update to counters and appliances. I was a bit concerned not having AC or heat, but the with the windows open and ceiling fan the temperature was fine. Consider a small AC unit to control humidity. Delightful
The condo was facing the ocean with beautiful views. We had doves visiting us every morning for a hand out. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. Although, when we arrived, there was no toilet paper or kitchen towels, shampoo etc., the deficiency was corrected the following day. The property is located in the middle of the island and so both the north and south end of the island were easily accessible. The main problem that we had was finding good meals. Making reservations any place in Kauai is very difficult. This was not the fault of the rental agency. We would recommend making reservations for good restaurants far in advance.
