Great location, no WiFi
Location is phenomenal and it looks like the furniture has been updated. It was very dusty (we visited during the off season), but other than that it was clean. The WiFi never worked and the cable never worked. I tried daily to work with Vacasa to get it fixed and no one ever showed up…. Just kept being told they were working on it. Very disappointing

Underwhelming and disappointing at best. Terrible condition, unresponsive when asked to fix things
What a joke. I reported countless issues about the homes quality, cleanliness and functionality after arriving. Other than the not functioning elevator, which Jade helped me with, nothing else reported was addressed or resolved. I requested the blinds and trashcan cabinet be fixed as they were not functioning. I was told the blinds couldn’t be repaired or replaced (?!???!) and their only option for keeping the trashcan cabinet closed was to put a lock on it. The team promised a technician to fix the dishwasher but they never showed up. By the end they quit responding to us and never followed up. The furniture is falling apart, the house was obviously not cleaned before our arrival, the kids beds are disintegrating, blinds in the master room are not functional, paint peeling off doors, empty chip bags and food containers under beds. The dryer takes 4 cycles to dry a small load of towels. The house sleeps 13 people and has a total of 6 forks, 4 salad/cereal bowls, and maybe 12 glasses. So incredibly unhappy I spent so much money for a vacation for my family that hasn't been cared for or maintained in years, and "managed" by a team that can't, or wont, fix things.

Great location
The house was very nice and large. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were more than adequate. The kitchen was fine but the furniture in the family area needs to be updated as they are not very comfortable. The balconies could use a few more tall chairs but they were great to sit and the watch the sunset, sunrise and the surfers.

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
The Good: Pool was quite nice. Elevator helpful for the grandmas and to take luggage and groceries up. Big beds were comfortable. Jacuzzi tub was clean and wonderful. Location was good with walkability to shops and restaurants (although the Scallywag bar across the street plays music on weekend nights so if you sleep early, bring earplugs). The washer/dryer work well. The Bad: This house needs a deep clean. The cleaning crew did an absolutely good job with surface cleaning. But the rugs/carpet are pretty dirty in general. The living room furniture was somewhat dirty and the couches were particularly in need of replacement. The internet was very slow making it hard to watch a movie. The kitchen stove dial numbers are worn off so you can't tell what knob goes with what burner or what is high or low. The dishwasher isn't stable and is pretty worn out. The bunk beds have flimsy mattresses and the day bed in one bunk room has a very bad mattress; there was vinyl padding peeling off the bed frame all around it. Lastly, some of the porch chairs are pretty worn and mildewed. At this price point I would have expected better. The Ugly: This property is managed by Vacasa which is based in Oregon. When we arrived, we needed sheets for the pull-out couch for the kids to sleep on. Reached out to Vacasa and after recordings and texting, finally got sheets after 3 nights without them (out of our 5 night stay). If you need any customer service, don't expect it to be easy.

December 2022
The location of this house is great. The beach is beautiful and the pool will be nice to have in the summer. It is in the center of Surf City near the pier, Soundside Park, many restuarants, coffee shops, bars and ice cream stores. The house has four nice bedrooms. The fifth bedroom appears to be a storage room with a bunk bed in it. There is no window in the room and no bathroom on that floor. The room has a door to the outside in it. I would not be comfortable with young children sleeping there. The Kitchen was well stocked but we had problems with the dishwasher not cleaning and the ice maker leaked into the freezer. Hoping these issues will be fixed soon, I have rented the house again this summer!
