A beautiful lake house in Meredith
This house was great! It was very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms were really nice, as were the dining room, living room, and screened porch. The kids had a wonderful time on the lake, even swimming all day in the rain! The adults spent many hours on both the upper and lakeside decks- it was great! The only thing that people should know is how small the kitchen is, which in itself is not a problem. It is much smaller than even the pictures show and there is no place to really keep a lot of groceries, etc. outside of the dining room table. One just needs to know this and plan accordingly, especially if you are traveling with a large group. All in all, it was a great week at the lake and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Great stay at American Dream at Lake Winni
Location Location Location
This property was perfectly located for our family of 12’s summer vacation on Lake Winnipesauke. We enjoyed the large dining table and common space. Ample supply of bath and lake towels was appreciated as was the on-site laundry. Large outside area for games and campfires was great. Dock accommodated our 28’ boat with room for sitting in the sun and floating in the lake.
I do have a few suggestions for consideration:
*Kitchen was disorganized and a bit dirty (new trash can is warranted as the current one is broken and filthy)
*A second air conditioner on the second floor would help with hot humid days
*For a rental that accommodates up to 15 people, a second fridge would be a great addition (drawer in freezer of the fridge is broken which made it hard to access)
*Dehumidifier in the lower level is filled with black mold - should be addressed since this could cause a health issue for some guests
Overall a wonderful stay!

A True NH Lakehouse
Exactly what you would expect from a vintage lake house in NH. A very nice building with lots of character and deck/porch space. The only thing lacking was an updated kitchen. That being said there was a ton of storage/cabinetry to stash essentials. The main room was spacious and comfortable. Some of the interior accommodations were a little beat up. The nice French door/bottom freezer refrigerator was missing a door on one of its drawers. It also appeared that another piece of plastic molding was missing from the cooler drawer. We had 13 people at the house for a week, so the refrigerator was packed to the gills. A second cheap old school fridge would serve this house nicely. The internet and television worked fine and the dock/sun deck down by the lake were great. We were able to swim, fish and tie up our rented pontoon boat and there was plenty of room. A real nice place. It would be great to be there in the cooler months and try out the fireplace and play cribbage.
Property pictures need updating because the main room in the house has newer furniture that is really comfortable. The enclosed upstairs porch is very relaxing with a fabulous view. The outside area to the lake, with the 2 docks, provides more than adequate space for water access and activities. The house has space for everyone. You never feel crowded except for the small kitchen, which isn’t a big deal. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that is needed for food storage and preparation. There is also a large gas grill and a fire pit to cook on. There’s plenty of seating in the house, the front and back porches, the docks and fire pit areas for everyone. A fabulous place for swimming, fishing and other water activities. Lots of nearby hiking areas also, with amazing views. Nearby shopping for groceries and gifts. Plenty of places to dine out locally. The washer/dryer make life easier while staying in the house. Water pressure is good. Really, I don’t have anything negative to say. Parking was right in front of the house with enough space for 5 plus vehicles. My family and I had a fantastic week. Couldn’t have asked for more. There are 3.5 bathrooms, 2 with showers and 1 with a full tub/shower combo. Lots of closet space, comfy beds and other sleeping places. As I said, pictures should be updated and every area included.
2023 last week of July….
Beautiful weather, check in easy, all beds made and plenty of towels provided.
4 bedrooms up, one in middle, two downstairs.
Outside dock and sitting deck and lower deck where family swam and floated almost everyday. Nice to have ladders you can walk to on both swim deck and dock.
No sandy beach which I knew but my group all over 21 years so not needed. We preferred floating, swimming and using the provided canoe for fishing.
House was clean, rustic, comfy furniture in both big living rooms. All beds were comfy and bedrooms roomy enough.
Awesome old fashioned windows upstairs.
Screened porch with outside deck are ideal for sitting in all weather and endless views.
Tough details…two full bathrooms upstairs have no hallway access. Both must be entered thru a bedroom, so at night, the two other bedrooms gotta go downstairs to use first floor. Not too bad.
First floor bedroom contains the entry stairwell to downstairs, so after they go to bed, you gotta go outside and around back to get to lower level. Not too bad, we got our exercise steps in.
Toughest was small kitchen setup and location. Had everything we needed but fridge is in doorway to living room and by entry door, we had quite a bit of bumping and excuse me going on.
Note…no shower or bath on first floor which is tough cuz we had grandma who can’t do stairs. May not matter to most.
Absolutely pleased, had a great vacation, highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
