With so much to do nearby, guests will find hours of enjoyment. And when they return to this home, they'll find rest and relaxation. Hang out on the porch swing in the breezy afternoons, snuggle up on the sectional to watch a movie, enjoy drinks and good company on the deck while children play in the nearby sandbox, and prepare meals together in the well-appointed kitchen.

The soundfront is a short distance away and optional community amenities include a sound front pool, clubhouse, crabbing dock, private boat ramp, and sound access. Also along the sound are a picnic area, beach area, basketball courts, and volleyball courts. The lawn offers picnic tables, a grill, a boardwalk for fishing or crabbing, and benches to watch the sunsets. Area attractions include Jockeys Ridge, Roanoke Island Festival Park, NC Aquarium Elizabeth Gardens, First Flight Adventure Park, Jennette's Pier, Wright Brothers Memorial, Beach access, Dowdy Park, Bodie Island Lighthouse, The Lost Colony, Alligator River, and numerous restaurants.

The clubhouse pool and community boat ramp are available for nominal fees. The pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Availability and fees are subject to change at the discretion of the HOA.

Fishing trip

We rented this home because it was close to where we were going to go fishing. It met all our needs, and it accommodated 6 men without a problem. It was located close to restaurants and to the marina where we are fishing from. All in all it was a great stay

Great Spot!

This house is perfect for those that want to dock a boat for fishing or for those that want an amazing outdoor space! The house itself has everything you could need for a vacation and all of the furniture is comfortable. It could use a little TLC on a few things, but nothing that would stop you from having a great vacation. Also, you just can't beat the location of the inlet for getting your boat in and out!

Amazing views!

I really enjoyed my stay. The home has beautiful views, everything was very clean, absolutely loved the outdoor space. Very relaxing. Loved that there were kayaks there to use. I will definately be coming back again!

Great fall family vacation

Website description and photos are accurate. As others have said we loved the outdoor areas. Nice furnishings on all levels. We didn’t use but there are top of the line beach chairs, 4 bikes, kayaks and paddle boards, misc things for young children. There is a small secluded beach area on sound side. Nice neighborhood, great for walking in the evening. Would definitely recommend! So close to everything. 15 minutes to Wright Brothers museum.

Great home!

This hone was lovely- fantastic views and very convenient to the sound with our boat! Outdoor furniture on 3 levels was lovely and extremely comfortable- so much outdoor space to enjoy! Renters should be aware that this is an upside down house so up 2 sets of stairs to the living space makes for a lot of stair climbing if that is difficult for anyone in your party. The master bedroom was a bit small and has no dresser, but other than that we loved our stay in this home!

Outdoor oasis, inside needs work.

The outdoor part of this house is the only thing that saves this review, truly. It is absolutely perfect and a fun place to hang out rain or shine. We took the paddle board and kayak out, which was incredible. I loved that everything was provided for us to ge the full experience. I loved all of the seating options outside and up on the decks, it was truly my favorite part. When we arrived the outside looked perfect so we were hopeful that the inside was going to be equally perfect. Going inside you’re greeted with stairs that are dusty, steep and slippery no matter how slow you go up and down them. The bathrooms needed a serious deep clean with bugs in the showers and it looked mold in the shower. Between the four bedrooms, they were nicely spaced, but the stains on the mattresses and linens were disgusting. Some of the linens even felt sandy like someone had already slept in them. It makes me really sad to write this because we were so hopeful with this house given how incredible the outdoor portion was. The location was fantastic as well. I would only come here again for the outdoor parts, and if they invested in a cleaning team that actually deep cleaned the rental, put mattress covers on if they decide not to replace the mattresses, and also notice the stains on the linens before putting them on the beds.

Great canal front home in Nags Head!

We enjoyed our stay this week! This home has EVERYTHING you need to enjoy the beach and outdoor activities! Bikes, kayaks, paddle board, life jackets, fishing equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs and more! Awesome outdoor shower! The outdoor furniture is top notch! Plenty of space for our 2 families of 8. We made the best of the week even with tropical storm Debby coming through. However, this home could use some upgrades to the furniture, bedding and AC unit. Only one unit to cool the entire place. Overall, I would highly recommend this home if you plan to be outside enjoying the sound side canal or beach!

Subtle Sounds -relaxing experience

We loved all the outdoor spaces on 3 different levels. There was a subtle breeze that made you want to sit outside and enjoy the water views. The outdoor seating options were the best we’ve ever had in 20 years of renting homes on The OXB. We also enjoyed the kayaks and bikes since we are an active family. Thank you. We loved it!

Great house!

The house was fantastic and in such a great area of Nags Head! We were close to a ton of great restaurants and beach access points. The outdoor spaces at the house were great and we loved the kayaks and hammocks! Having our dog on our vacation with us was a big bonus!

Family vacation

Clean, comfortable with lots of stairs and the most rain I have seen on the outer banks. One of our grand daughters cannot have gluten so we did lots of cleaning while we were there. We washed all the dishes and silverware before using them to be safe.

Perfect for Couples or Families

We had a wonderful time at this professionally operated vacation home that has all of the touches that bring -- thoughtful access to the beach and recreation, from bikes to paddle boards, to kayak, to beach chairs. Well stocked kitchen for home meals. Two couple rooms and two rooms with multiple sleeping beds allowed for lots of flexibility between parents and kids.

Yikes! Recommend avoiding Vacasa!

I had high hopes for this property since I saw all the great reviews. Let me start with saying I’m a host myself on AirBnb and VRBO. Vacasa was the property’s host and I had a few questions weeks before check-in that weren’t being answered quickly but I put that aside. Then upon arriving at the property, my guests and I found dirt and dog food on the floor that WE had to sweep up. Our guests found a stain on their comforter so immediately had to throw it in the washer. I found a clump of hair on the shower drain. THEN we went upstairs to the kitchen and found not only the clocks not being set correctly (Daylight Savings) but that the dishwasher was full of (luckily clean) dishes for US to put away ourselves! It was clear the place has been sitting for weeks. I was so disgusted that I actually went to the local Home Goods and bought a brand new bedding set for the master so I could feel comfortable sleeping there. I immediately got in touch with Vacasa who told us one of their “local managers” would get in touch with us. Never heard from them the entire stay. So now I’m working on getting a partial refund seeing that my guests and I had to clean the place on our own vacation. I strongly recommend booking a place that has an actual host not a big company like Vacasa that outsources all of their duties. Very upsetting.

Perfect home for a family vacation!

This home was absolutely perfect for my family vacation to Nags Head. We loved being on the sound side with our small kids. There is access to a sandy beach area within walking distance. The house itself had everything we needed including toys for the kids to play with, kitchenware, and linens. The outside has a nice setup for all ages. There are bikes, kayaks, a paddle board, and cornhole for entertainment. There’s also a water table and sand toys for the kids that can be used right under the main carport area. The outdoor porches all have quality outdoor furniture including hammocks, swings, and rocking chairs. This place is so family friendly and truly has something for everyone! It was nice to have the water activities for when we felt adventurous, and also the patio areas to hangout when we wanted to rest and relax. Communication with the property manager was seamless and I always heard back very quickly. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great relaxing getaway!

We had a great stay at the canal home. There were beautiful views of the canal in the back and ocean in the front. Lots of fun things to do on the property and in the area. We loved having the bikes to ride around the area. There are speed limit signs that everyone respected so it made bike riding and walking safe. Lots of great seating in the back to drink coffee relax by the water. Very short drive to jeanette's pier which is where we parked for the beach. Lots of shops and food stores near by.

Roomy Home in Good Location

This is a really nice quiet little neighborhood. Very nice to take walks around and the home is on small canal and across from the sound. The home has many rooms and a good sized main living/kitchen area on the top floor. The main living area is decently furnished but the rest of the home seems a bit outdated with small bedrooms and bathrooms. The work done doesn't seem like it was done by a professional. The home has some sort of beetle or bug problem where I kept finding small brown beetle-looking dead bugs everywhere including on my dogs. If you are bringing your dogs, just be careful in the yard. There's these small burrs everywhere that stick to everything not just hair. My dogs had them sticking right to the pads of their paws.
