Not great stay

It was late at night when we got to this VRBO. The instructions told us to walk down a path that would be lighten but it was completly pitch back and we were walking in the middle of a rainforest. Once we figured out where we were, we typed the code and got the key. We walk in and the place is a mess. Dirty sheets, dirty towels all over, food everywhere, clearly not ready for us to be there. We text the property owner and he thankfully responded quickly. He gave us the code to the other room. Thankfully this one was at least somewhat clean. There were clean sheet and towels but it did not feel super clean or welcoming. And there was no comforter or blanket the bed just a sheet... A few days later we decided we wanted to get in the hottub. We walk back there ready to get in and its freezing cold with no way to turn it on. In addition, the wifi wasn't great and the TV stopped working near the end of our stay. We were overall very disappionted with our stay and will not be renting from them again.

Humid condo

Nice secluded studio encapsulated in the lush vegitation of Volcano area, which results in a very humid room. Don’t bring too many electronics, but bring your own plates, drinking classes and optional bottle opener. The kitchenette is very soarcely equiped, but you may enjoy the antique CRT TV. Host wasn’t very cooperative and send the access information just 24 hours before checkin.

Clean, simple humid stay - comms could have been better

Very clean and simple room - quite nice. Expect the room to be super humid. There was a small dehumidifier, but it didn’t do much. The best was turning on the heater in the early morning to dry the air when the temp was cool enough. No message before arrival and no phone answer. Host responded to Vrbo messages within minutes though and gave me the information. I reserved the day before, so it could have been last minute. Didn’t use hot tub - didn’t look for it and we came back tired from the park. Silverware but no dishes - a bit odd, but happy to have them. The nightly rate was a joke compared to the all-in with rando fees. I can’t stand that this is standard. Even the “total with taxes and fees” wasn’t the real total. Seems common now, especially in volcano. The listed nightly rate was only half of the total. Hopefully a law is passed soon protecting consumers.

Volcano Lodge

Nice set up, but not as private as it had houses surrounding it. Also the description made it seem as if the hot tub was just for that unit, and it was shared with others. Also when we though about using the hot tub did not like the look of it. Brown water. Would have bee nice if there had been a book with instructions for tv, and other devices, and maybe good places to eat. It was a great location for visiting the volcano park.

Beautiful and Peaceful!

We loved our stay at the Volcano lodge! It was very peaceful, the jacuzzi was a nice place to relax at the end of the evening. Even though there were others staying on the property we rarely saw them. The lush rainforest was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Thank you!
