About this property
Contemporary Tropical Living on the Osa Peninsula.
Villa Pizote has an extraordinary sense of oneness with the environment. The building so smoothly blends into its surroundings that it's sometimes difficult to define if one is inside or outside the house. The home was designed by down-to-earth people who were looking to create a comfortable, contemporary, tropical, family home on the beautiful and pristine Osa Peninsula.
It accommodates up to thirteen guests in four bedrooms, a King Suite with one king bed and bunk beds, a Queen Suite with one queen bed and a single bed, 2 Standard Bedrooms each with one double bed, and two sofa beds in the interior living room. We strive diligently to maintain a healthy level of cleanliness & comfort in this crazy, wild spot between the primeval Osa forest of Corcovado & the abundant, tropical waters of the "Golfo Dulce" & Pacific Ocean.
It has air conditioning in all the bedrooms, original artwork from Central and South America, a well-equipped kitchen, an indoor and outdoor lounge, hand-painted murals throughout, gardens & sitting areas, and an outdoor tropical shower where the monkeys can sometimes be right on top of you, as well as a rooftop roof deck for morning coffee or late-night star gazing
Villa Pizote is a birding hot spot (https://ebird.org/hotspot/L121...) with close to one hundred species identified to date. Common wildlife sightings include Four species of Monkey, Kinkajou, Raccoon, Coatis, Armadillo, Anteater, Sloth, Raptors, Toucans, Scarlet Macaw, Crocodile, Cayman, Lizards, Snakes, Beetles, Hummingbirds, Butterflies, Herons, Iguanas & various other Insects, Reptiles & Amphibians. Bring a camera,
If you need a break from the wildlife, kick back and enjoy the colorful surroundings & tropical amenities. You are more than welcome to visit the hotel whenever you want. The front garden was designed to offer lots of physical space for visitors. The fire pit is often used by guests for an impromptu BBQ. If you don't feel like cooking, try ordering food from our neighbors. Their menus can be found at the bar or go for a walk with easy access to more than fifteen eating establishments in town. Many will deliver for a small fee if you decide to hang out.
You can walk everywhere in town, so a car is not required. We offer effortless immersion into a tropical paradise, so please enjoy it as much as we have over the years.
Pura Vida,
Familia Gray Ortega & Team 'Escape to the Tropics and Villa Pizote".
