Great spot

Really enjoyed the stay. Check in/out instructions we’re simple and easy to follow. House is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. Everything you need/want is a 5 minute or less drive away, including the beach. Neighborhood is fairly new, clean, and quiet with a great view of a large pond in the rear of the house. Plenty of grassy areas and a small trail behind the house to take the pups out. Private pool is a major perk. Master bedroom is large with a comfy bed and huge restroom. The other two bedrooms each had two beds. Lots of seating at the main dining table and bar. Back balcony is also roomy and relaxing after a busy day. ONLY downside is that the home is on the other side of the highway. Because of this you are not allowed to take a golf cart to and from the beach. The city doesn’t allow golf carts to drive on the main highway (for obvious safety purposes). However, it’s a very short drive to the beach so it wasn’t an issue for us. We just thought it would be cool to rent a cart to get the full “beachy vibe” experience. Overall, wonderful stay - 5 stars - would stay again!!

Great house for a family outing

This house is now on the top of our list for places to stay in Port Aransas. Its not as close to the beach but it was quiet at night, plenty of room to spread out and good parking. Beach is only a few minutes away.

Spring break

The house was wonderful… the only thing that we thought was missing was trash bags, dishwasher detergent and toilet paper. We were there for 5 days with 4 adults and 1 child. We were provided 1 trash bag, 2 dishwasher pods, and 1 spare roll of toilet paper. Bring these items for your stay along with coffee filters, salt and pepper when you stay. I don’t expect to have coffee and spices provided but trash bags and dishwasher pods should be included for the price of this house.

Beautiful home

The home is beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The downstairs area where the pool is was very spacious. It just needed a restroom near the pool instead of upstairs. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful home!

Beautiful, spacious home was just right for our family. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, looks exactly like the pictures on website. We were a party of 7 & we had more than enough room to spread out. Huge master bedroom, bath, 2nd bedroom had queen bed & twin, 3rd bedroom had 2 full size beds. Nicely decorated with modern decor. Beachy theme. Can't say enough good things about this property. The pool was too chilly to enjoy, it is shaded most of the time. But we still enjoyed sitting downstairs in the large entertaining area. Would definitely stay again. Communication with renting agent was quick. Any questions I had were promptly answered. We had a great time !

Appears really nice, but counters were dirty with crime and brown particles, water hose/shower leaks and is connected to rest of house(annoying), trash was on Picnic table appearing to make the pool area dirty, and last but not least the pool was not clean.

Nice Home- Crappy neighbor renters

This house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bad part about our stay was the neighboring houses tenants. A large group of college kids were partying all night long and yelling and screaming till we had to call the cops at 3am. Later we heard noises outside only to see them trying to break into our vehicles parked in the driveway. Such a shame because the house is beautiful. We won't be back.

AMAZING!

We stayed here during spring break and we LOVED it! The location is great, it's big, clean, and the rental office helpful. The only reason we are giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pool NEEDS a heater BAD! The sun never hits the pool so it's always cold. We picked the house mostly because of the pool and we only got to use it once because we couldn't stay in long with freezing water. But everything was else was perfect! We will be back for sure during the HOT summer!

Problems

The rooms were nice however the misrepresentation of the house by the owners and Silver Sands was completely wrong. First it was said to be a three bedroom two bath house. By any realtor standards it would only be a two bedroom house. When there is not a closet in the main bedroom because the owners had it locked it is no longer considered a bedroom. There was a mini-armoire that would hold no more than ten hanging shirts and they would be dragging on the bottom shelf. It also had one small drawer. There were two night stands with three very small drawers each. But there was not a dresser. In order to store our clothes we would have to walk to the other end of the house to get to the closet of our hanging things and under clothes. When we went to the agency we were told that this was a common thing in PA. When we checked with other agencies they were unaware of this practice. The "Property Manager" did not know what to do until someone told her to call the owners. The owners finally agreed and sent a very flimsy rack. That was the solution? We are Winter Texans and have been coming to PA for a number of years and have never had so many problems with a rental agency. On to the next situation. At the end of January we were told that we owed an additional 98.00 for electricity. This was because the owners only covered the first 100.00 of the electrical bill and the renters were responsible for the overage. We did not know of this and once again checked with three other agencies and none of them had aver heard of such a thing. It must be because they have a small pool that is not heated and the circulation pump runs constantly. Why this is the responsibility of the renter I do not know because we could not use it due to the cold water and lack of sunshine on the pool area. A TV all of sudden would not totally shut off which we reported but nobody came to fix it. We had to call a second time five days later before it was fixed. I'm sure the TV being on that five days 24/7 did not help the electric bill. On the two occasions that we went to the Silver Sands office the reception desk personnel were less than helpful. In fact one time the young lady there was rude and acted as if she was to busy to be bothered by us. The only person who tried to meet our needs was Cheryl Needless to say we will never use Silver Sands again and will tell whoever is interested that they should avoid using Silver Sands as a rental agency. also.
