Nice relaxing getaway

My husband and I truly enjoyed our getaway to the mountains. The home was very warm and inviting. It was not too far from the casino and shopping centers.

Winter Magic

We booked a last minute weekend for our kids to play in snow for the first time. The weekend was magical! The cabin was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our walks to see the elk across the street and then coming back to warm up by the cozy fire. Several restaurants in the area as well as tubing and skiing. Before we left we all agreed we would have to come back soon!

Perfect gem in Maggie Valley!

I have stayed in many vacation properties, and this is the best one yet! It is the perfect location in Maggie Valley. 5 minutes to most restaurants and snow tubing, and under 15 minutes to Cataloochee ski area. Also, this is so well-stocked with all the little things you might forget- TP, shampoo, soap, detergent, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, dish soap, coffee filters, oil, spices…really everything. And, you truly see elk everyday of your stay, which makes this place so magical!

Smoky Bear Cabin

We had a wonderful time. Communication with the owner was excellent. We had everything that we needed. Definitely will return! We loved seeing all the elk right outside the door. Very cozy and comfortable cabin.

Everything was perfect!! Well maintained property, great location, quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. Host communicated so well before and throughout the stay. Everything you could hope for and more. There was a bull Elk in the neighborhood that made his presence morning and evening. One morning there were 2. I love nature and all animals so this thrilled me. Would definitely stay again!!

Never Disappoints!!

This is our 3rd stay in this lovely cabin! And it is soo hard to leave. We love the location and the cabin is very clean and comfortable. It has all the things we need but is not cluttered, so we have room for our stuff! Can’t wait til our next visit.

Spacious and beautiful

If your idea of a cabin is weird smells, carpeted bathrooms, or indoor wildlife, this will probably be a disappointment. Instead, you can focus on the roomy common area, the spacious porch, or the nighttime quiet and the fresh mountain air that make for a good night's rest. Would recommend and would book again if we return to Maggie Valley.

Relaxing Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The pictures didn’t do it justice. You can tell the owner takes great care of their property. All of the furniture was in great shape and the beds were really comfortable. The views are out of this world!! We also saw Bull Elk everyday, can’t recommend enough!!!! We will definitely stay here on our future trips to Maggie Valley

Smoky Bear Cabin

Smoky Bear Cabin was the perfect place for our family! The open floorplan was great for family time and meal prep. We enjoyed meals on the big front porch while watching Elk in the field. One even strolled in front of the porch and we were able to get a great video and pictures. We felt right at home...beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. Our host, Brandon, is great and we plan to come back. Thank you, Brandon!

This cabin and our experience was nothing short but amazing. The communication with host was one of the best I have experienced. The place had everything we needed. The decor of the cabin was spot on. We were almost convinced that it was wrong time to see elk but the last night we were there we were on the front porch playing cards. I heard this noise in the back at edge of property and this animal poked its head through all that brush and it was an elk. It came out to the back of cabin and at our truck and we got to get a picture. Then it jumped fence in back and went through the pasture. Just the best trip ever. Thank you Brandon.

Perfect Maggie Valley stay!

This property was wonderful in all ways!! Communication with Brandon was courteous and prompt, the home was clean and well supplied, the ability to see elk up close and personal was magnificent!! We have stayed in this area many times on our motorcycle trips and would highly recommend this home/area as a “ home base”! God Bless!

We had a great stay. The house was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms are a.good size. The views of the mountains was good. I would recommend this house to anyone. I hope to stay again in the future.

It’s just under a 3-hour drive for us from Charlotte to Maggie Valley and we are over there every chance we get. Anytime the kids have no school on a Monday or Friday we are there for a 3-day weekend…doesn’t matter the time of year. The Maggie Valley / Waynesville area is the perfect location for anything you could want to do outdoors. Endless hiking, awesome waterfalls, tubing (snow & river), rafting, fishing, playing in the creeks, snowboarding & skiing, apple picking and on and on. Our family loves to be outdoors with nature every chance we get. What started with 1 vacation rental home in 2014 has now grown to 7. I personally manage all the listings, bookings and communication between guests to ensure an awesome trip. Any questions, comments, concerns or issues I am always available by phone, text or e-mail.

Why they chose this property

Smoky Bear Cabin is located in Crocketts Meadow, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Maggie Valley. It's low down with extremely easy access to the house including a large driveway. Smoky Bear Cabin is a true log cabin with two master bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The home has a great covered porch that extends along the front and side of the house. Elk often frequent the area in the evening and will walk right through the yard. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for a great mountain vacation. This house has been a vacation rental since 2015 with over 200 5-star reviews.
