|| Solitude and tranquility in nature ||
Koya is a Japanese word for a tiny hut. This cabin is exactly that and a little more. It is a peaceful retreat to wind down, a cocoon to step away from it all and a home for those who wish to live closer in harmony with nature. This studio with 1 full bath and a loft has open-concept layout and yet offers a sense of privacy. Limewash painted walls add warmth and textures throughout the cabin.
|| The kitchen & dining ||
- Complimentary coffee and tea (both also in decaf)
- Complimentary cooking oil and varieties of herbs
- Water filter pitcher for drinking/cooking water
- Washer/dryer use available for stays longer than 1 week
- Bodum electric goose neck kettle
- Kemex pour over coffee maker
- French press coffee maker
- Manual pasta maker
- Japanese dinnerware, utensils & tea set
- Electric stove/oven
- Fridge/freezer
- Microwave
Custom made earthy textured microcement plastered cabinet and weathered wood open shelf hold curated dinnerware and everything you need for basic cooking needs. Instead of a formal dining table, a cot inspired over-sized reclaimed wood coffee table serves a dual purpose for casual dining with the loved ones.
|| Sleep, rest & lounge ||
- Memory foam mattresses
- Down alternative duvets and pillows
- Convertible sleeper sofa
The sleeping area offers 2 twin size memory foam mattresses and custom made plastered beds with plenty of storage space underneath for your travel luggage. The sofa is convertible to a 76"x48" twin/full size bed to accommodate 1 person comfortably. It'd be snug, but you are welcome to add another person for a total of 2.
|| The Loft ||
- Custom made microcement plastered niche walls
- Record player
- Vintage and antique vinyl records
- A desk and a vintage wooden chair
- Yamaha guitar
- Mini library
A winding spiral staircase will take you up to the cozy loft with a small desk and a vintage chair to maybe write a journal or a letter while listening to some of our very unique collection of old vinyl records. If you have a left over work to tackle, this would be a good spot to set up your temporary office. A mini library is stocked for drifting away into a book on rainy days. This loft may be small in size, but unapologetically unique.
|| The Bathroom ||
- Overhead rainfall shower
- Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion & towels
- Hair dryer
It is generous in size considering it being a bathroom in a 400sqf tiny cabin. Basic bathroom essentials are complimentary.
|| The porch ||
- Wooden picnic table
- Patio furniture set and a bench
The east facing roofed porch offers undistracted 180 degree view of the land with bright morning light. This is a place to be after slowly brewing your coffee or tea (And yes, varieties of coffee and tea, both also in decaf, will be waiting for you). In the evening when the moon rises and stars shine, come gather around a wooden picnic table under string lights for dinner.
|| Fire pit & BBQ grill ||
- Complimentary firewoods
- Over fire camp grill
- XL Kindling Cracker firewood splitter
- Coleman camp axe
- Weber kettle charcoal BBQ grill (Apr-Oct)
Come outside when the sun starts setting, and the path of stepping stones will guide you to the fire pit to snuggle up and gaze at the stars. We offer complimentary fire woods (Charcoal for BBQ grill not provided).
|| The land ||
- Natural spring streams throughout the open field
- Spring fed ponds in 3 sizes
- Wooden benches by the pond
Rolling hills of grass field surrounded by evergreens and deciduous tree woodland. Small meadows of wild flowers and plants add colors throughout the year. Standing here listening to the sound of trickling water of small streams feels like worlds away from everything.
