Amber and Steve were the perfect VRBO hosts; the house was great with tons of room, wonderful kitchen and living spaces, modern bathrooms and in the middle of the lovely bluffs of SE Minnesota. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
We had a great weekend at this house. The house is clean and furnished with everything we need. We enjoyed the outdoors as well. The entire property is beautiful. Amber is a great host. We will be back!
Highly recommend!!! This was our second time staying here - we absolutely adore this property! Truly a little piece of heaven in SE Minnesota!
Our children love the freedom to run in the large yard + play on the swing set, while the adults relax on the swing or patio.
The house is a farm house that has been brought back to life. It’s clean, has modern appliances, and has comfortable furniture! Amber and Steve are great hosts and communication is excellent!!
We will definitely be back another year!
This was our second stay. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of space for a group of eight adults. Very peaceful area. Amber is a great host. Always friendly and quick to respond. We plan to go back again.
Black Hammer Hus is a beautifully renovated farmhouse surrounded by rolling fields. Amber is a great host, the house is very well stocked and had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. Our family had a great time and hope to be back again soon!
We enjoyed our time here very much! If you are looking for a getaway for a large group of people this place is perfect. The house is very cute with updated decor and host was very easy to communicate with. House was equipped with everything we needed. Only thing that made it a little interesting was that one of the upstairs bedroom floors is slanted. If you have balance issues, it may throw you off a little bit but nothing extremely concerning. Would definitely recommend for your next large group get away! It’s also pet friendly!
We had a wonderful weekend. Plenty of room for four couples. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Amber is the best! So easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. We already booked another weekend in the fall. I highly recommend the property!
From the first inquiry to when we left for home, Amber, the owner, was quick to respond to questions and make our stay possible and pleasant! She and her husband remodeled this country farm home—beautiful interior with new appliances, kitchen floors, bathrooms. Well stocked!
Living room, bedroom original floors (I assume) were refinished, maintaining the original appearance! This was a very relaxing, snowy time in the country!
Everything from start to finish went flawless. The house was very clean and tidy with plenty of room for our large family. The location was great as most of our relatives live in or around Spring Grove. Amber was great to work with and answered any questions I had. We will be booking this property again in the near future!!
Nice clean cozy private getaway for during our hunting trip. Amber was really responsive and supportive during our trip. Couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended!
