My family & I had an amazing stay at the Malabar Chalet during the Loudonville Fair. We all enjoyed coffee on the porch watching the fair open and the easy access to town. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean.
We highly recommend!
We came down for a weekend away from me being a mom and to celebrate my mother's birthday. The house was great. I love the sounds associated with an old house. Even though it was very old it was a perfect stay.
The location was perfect for doing activities locally. Right on the main street, and adjacent to the park. It was clean and the property manager was great at responding to questions. Great value as well.

This old home is absolutely beautiful. You only get access to the first floor but everything was in great shape and the location was perfect. I would’ve liked to had access to a coffee pot and a grill but everything else you need was there.
We really enjoyed our stay, the home was spacious and perfect for our family. We had booked some activities at Mohican Adventures and it was super close! We spent a lot of time on the front porch and walking to the little shops downtown. Definitely check out Stela’s ice cream, so yummy. The check in process was so easy and the owner sent all the details we needed. Would definitely book again; thank you for sharing this lovely home!
Beautiful old home and great location for downtown and parks
Stayed here with three friends for a trail run at Mohican. Price was great. Check-in process and communication was also good. You can't beat the location as we're less than 2 miles from Mohican Adventures and a walking block from downtown Loudonville's shops and restaurants. It was a beautiful old home that constantly reminded you "they don't make 'em like they used to." Did not realize the rental was for the downstairs unit only but it had everything we needed and never saw/heard anything from the upstairs units. Only drawback was the electric stove seemed erratic. Burners would turn off while cooking and it would set off the smoke detector when simply boiling water and sauteing some vegetables. An outdoor grill would have been nice too. Overall, very pleasant stay and would rent this property again.
The house was a century home that had a lot of cool features that you don't see in a modern home, from large real wood wood work to art work in the ceiling, the home had a lot of charm and was a comfortable place to spend our weekend. It was a short drive to the parks. Annie was very easy to work with and provided easy detailed instructions. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
My 82 year old father and I stayed in this lovely property for a week. The house has such dramatic character with beautiful original ceilings and woodwork throughout. I loved the pocket doors! The kitchen has everything you would need for cooking onsite. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable as was the living room furnishings. The heart of the town is in walking distance and I would strongly urge a visit to the local museum for a pleasant free experience!
The photos are accurate and fully depict the property.
The owner of this home is very responsive and thorough and so kind. Our trip was very relaxing. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable home base while in the area!
House was very nice and very very clean located in the center of a nice little town with shops and restaurants within 5 min walk if you like small town americana this is for you

Well we had some pretty rough storms that literally shook the whole house. That was sort of scary, but definitely no ones fault. Otherwise it was a besutiful home & fit our needs for the few days perfectly! The library across the street was so cute! If you have kiddos, check that out!
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this quaint property. Immaculately clean, spacious, comfortable beds. We're looking forward to staying again on our next visit.
This property is beautiful, spacious as well as centrally located. Spacious living room, plush towels, and comfortable mattresses. Beautiful woodwork. Front porch is spacious and comfortable. Prompt response to questions. Walked to nearby restaurants as well as to the library, museum, and park. Will plan to book again on our return visits.
Absolutely beautiful home! Two blocks from a cute downtown. Rooms were nice and large. Would have liked a couple more chairs for the dining table though. We would definitely stay again.
This unit is the first floor of a cool old house on Main st. In Loudonville, with beautiful old oak woodwork. It has two bedrooms, one large and one small, a very nice living room and a practical kitchen and bath. It served our needs well, and I would recommend it highly.
Overall the property was very clean and nice. Close to everything. Unfortunately it was very close to the main road in town and sleeping was difficult due to road noise and the furnace kicking on and off. Also the bed was not to my liking.
