The property is a cute townhouse in Alexandria close to lots of cute shops, restaurants, and bars. The neighborhood is quiet and seems safe with easy street parking. There were two families staying here during our trip to DC and there were enough beds for all of us. There is no bathroom on the main floor, but one is in the basement next to the bedroom and the other is upstairs next to the other two bedrooms. If you can’t do stairs, keep that in mind!
It was overall clean, but we noticed the upstairs bathroom had a dirty sink (there was an old crusty contact behind the faucet) and one bath towel had a stain on it. The carpet on the basement stairs was also in need of a cleaning.
We found out the washer didn’t work when we arrived, so it was impossible to wash anything during our stay. That was unfortunate because we needed to wash some sheets. The door lock is also finicky. Took anywhere from 2-5 times for it to engage, but that might have been due to low batteries. Verify that things are in working order before you book. Even so, our host was very responsive when we messaged him about any concerns we had.
The decor is eclectic, yet functional and we all had somewhere to sit and relax.
For the money, this was a nice little property. It’s not fancy though, so if you are looking for high end, this isn’t it. It’s a place to sleep and eat and relax and close to DC. I’d stay again, but would verify certain things were in working order first.
