Take it easy at Rivers & Roots, a working flower farm & event venue. This unique, tranquil getaway is located by the Sevierville golf course. Best of both worlds, as it is not far from many attractions but off the beaten path for a private stay. Perfect for a bachelorette trip or girls weekend! While the king bed upstairs sleeps 2, the 3 person sectional and couch downstairs allows the space to sleep 6. Up to 10 guests can be on site. We loved our stay here. Very pretty and calm out there and in a great location to everything we went too. Could be more clean and needs to be better at thoroughly looking for things but other then that I do recommend this place.
We got married at Nichols Heir and we were looking for a place to host a welcome dinner the night before for our friends and family. I came across this property and it was absolutely perfect. It was only 10 minutes from my venue and we didn’t have to get on the main road. It comfortably fit our entire crew and had plenty of seating inside and outside for everyone. I couldn’t have picked a better place. It was so clean, the bed was so comfortable and we got a great nights sleep for the wedding day! I can’t recommend this place enough for large gatherings.
Our host was very responsive and helpful. She even sent us restaurant recommendations for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The bed was very soft and comfy. We arrived after dark, she had outdoor string lights, and fairy lights on the stairs, it was magical. Loved the fire pit and swings. Only one small recommendation, while everything was neat and tidy, it could use a deep clean.
It was so different from our normal rental cabin. Definitely would recommend a stay here.
My Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. The property was absolutely beautiful!! The owner was very nice & even sent us restaurant recommendations, which were delicious! We loved our trip and stay here. Definitely will be booking again!!
The location felt as if you are far from everything. But you are close to so much. Waking up to the Smoky Mountains is a beautiful sight! We will for sure be back.

Location was perfect!! There property does need a few minor details adjusted/corrected. The kitchen sink faucet is a nightmare, no matter what you do you get wet washing dishes. The wood floor in the bathroom needs to be replaced. Water has apparently has been getting on the floor from the shower and has warped the wood planks. The refrigerator needs a new filter and needs to be emptied after each stay. Items that were left were expired. There were no instructions on what to do with trash at end of stay, so we left it there. Also, we washed towels and found someone had left towels and rags in the washer, so we had to rewash them before we could use the washer/dryer. I would also recommend a rearranging of the loft furniture due to height. Also, more attention needs to be given to cleaning out things left in drawers. Especially the night stand next to the bed..that was disgusting to find.
I can’t say enough great things about this property! We had our intimate 32 person wedding ceremony/reception here and it was beautiful. The venue provided an amazing open canvas to help bring our wedding vision to life! The Mountain Views and privacy of the location made it even more beautiful and intimate. My husband and I stayed at the venue as well and the loft is super comfortable and made it so easy for us to celebrate all weekend long. If you are looking for a unique stay or an intimate venue space to have your next event look no further!
This location was everything that we had hoped it would be! We chose this venue for my sons wedding reception and were not disappointed!! There was table seating for all 25 of us and even room for a dance floor (he had the flexibiity of arranging the furniture as we needed to accomodate our party). We had our party catered but there is a full kitchen that could have easily handled the job of cooking for everyone. The loft has a queen size bed and a large sectional sofa so there was plenty of room for our guests to sleep comfortably. The property manager was available for any questions and was very helpful on our check out. The location is within a 10 minute drive of all the entertainment and dining of the area. I highly recommend this venue for family gatherings or other events!
We booked this space for a small wedding reception. We had about 35 attend for a casual afternoon where everyone had traveled for the wedding. The barndominium has two long table with seating for 36 plus extra tables for serving food. It also had an open kitchen that worked great as a drink station. The couch area, outdoor porch, and swings allowed us to spread out and relax. It was an excellent space away from the hustle and bustle of the parkway. It sits atop a high hill nestled behind the Seveirville Golf Course, so it was easy to find.
For the weekend, my family of 6 also stayed in the loft area. There was a king size bed, a large sectional, and plenty of room for an air mattress. It was a great space, and made it easy to put all our things out of the way for the reception.
The only issue we had was cleanliness, but it was big. When we arrived, the shower/tub were dirty and still had trash in the can. The refrigerator had old food in it. Even the bedsheets made me question their cleanliness. It was late the evening we arrived, so I handled it all myself. It cleaned showers, washed sheets, and emptied the fridge. I am a clean person, but this was far below expectations. I do not like to feel like I’m coming behind someone else or bathing in their filth.
Despite the terrible start, our stay was good. It would have 5 stars if it was even close to clean when we arrived. I hope this issue is resolved, so this excellent little space doesn’t get a poor reputation.
We really enjoyed our time in Tennessee, but the property we stayed at was not all that we were hoping for. Maybe we are too used to nice hotels or other places that are high end, but this place just did not hit the mark as much as we had hoped for.
First, it was a pretty cold week in TN with the highs only getting into the 30s most of our time there. With that said, the place was difficult to keep warm at all. It is very open and airy on the inside, but from a heating perspective, it was not able to be kept at a comfortable temperature at all.
Second, the clean that may or may not have been done prior to our arrival was clearly rushed as there was still many things out of place and clearly had not been cleaned. There was some sort of residue (detergent maybe) on the bedding that we ended up just taking off the bed and using our own blankets that we thankfully brought along with us.
Third, the refrigerator and pantry were full of food and beverages, like someone lived there all the time or they just completely forgot to clean this out when the last guest left. We informed them of the situation and they told us to use whatever was there or throw it away.
Sorry, I am not a cleaning service and I am certainly not going to use anything that was left behind by others.
The place is cute and has a pretty clear intended use of being for gatherings with the four tables and 30+ seats in the main area of the building. There is not enough room for more than two people to sleep comfortably. The upstairs couch that is in the same room as the king bed does not stay put on the floor and moves very easily on the hardwood to the point that if you move a lot while sleeping, you could find yourself on the floor between the sofa pieces.
It did not help that there was a broken pane of glass in one of the garage doors that provide a neat concept, but no privacy at night. Also, the second floor is very short. If you are anywhere over about 5'6", you will have to duck a lot so as to not bump your head.
We really wanted to love this place. We have always loved the idea of a barndominium, but this place is not at all what we had hoped for or even expected at this price. We were disappointed and will not be back.
