It is all about location. Beautiful two bedroom cottage only 200 feet from the ocean with 2 car off-street parking!

Enjoy the beach! Miniature golf is nearby. Go crabbing right off the dock in Lavallette. During the day rent a boat and fish Barnegat Bay. Rent a jet ski or scooter and have a blast! Nightlife nearby in Ortley and Seaside Heights. Family-friendly Jenkinsen's boardwalk with rides and games only 15 minutes away in Point Pleasant. Play tennis at the park. Adult fun in Atlantic City only 1 hour away!

Had the best weather

This was our third stay. We had the very best time! We love this beachhouse! It is perfect for us, cozy and steps from the beach! We cant wait to go back! Thank you Andrew and Suzanne. We made some beautiful memories!

Loved being close to the Beach

We have been coming to Lavallette for 5 years. Location and house was perfect. Communication with host and check in process was great. Very close to the beach and walkable to restaurants/ shops. AC worked well. Everything we love about the Lavallette cottages. Would love to stay again.

Great getaway down the shore!

It as an awesome stay. You can’t beat the location. It’s 3 houses down from the ocean. The house is perfect if you are a beach bum looking to spend the whole day at the beach and just need a place to shower & sleep. If I had to complain I’d say ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be nice to help airflow so you can sleep with doors closed and the home needs some maintenance. For instance, the grill grates have some rust so you can’t use all the grates. But this place is really all you need when you plan to be at the beach all day. I would stay here again. Suzanne & Andrew were great hosts!

Great stay

Our family of 4 stayed for a week. We are veterans of the area and grew up visiting and staying in Lavallette. The location is perfect and we were very happy. We didn’t want our vacation to end. Other reviews about the air conditioner I think are a bit exaggerating, we slept very comfortably and I am a “hot” sleeper. All our needs were met and the owners are easy and respond promptly with questions we had before the trip. I hope we can stay here again for many years to come. Cheers!

Close as you can get to the beach

Stones throw to the beach. Cute little beach house. Had almost everything we needed. Hosts are very nice. Would definately return another year.

The location in the property was perfect. There is absolutely no parking for a guest to visit.

The location in the property was perfect. There is absolutely no parking for a guest to visit. This rental does not come with beach badges like many others do. There is only air conditioning in the living room. The bedrooms are dangerous hot in the afternoon/ night. There is nowhere to sit outside but a 2.5ft walkway. The fans and air conditioning were so dusty it sent my daughter into an allergy attack. We ended up leaving 3 days early.

Great stay in nostalgic beach cottage

Thank you to our hosts for another great year. It’s nice to stay in a beach cottage when so many houses have been updated and modernized. This beach home reminds me of childhood vacations and I’m so happy to be making the memories with my son. The cottage was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

A/c sucks

Property needs a make over one a/c for whole house , some type of half ass fan system in between rooms to move ac . No way could 6 people stay here . Any one over 230 will never fit in shower. Sandy missed this one

Cozy cottage

The property was beautiful, in very convenient location and just a few houses from the beach! The decor was very cute and beachy as well! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Lavalette area.

Great location

The house is in a great location, very close to the beach and Lavallette is a nice town. The house has sand toys and boogie boards which was convenient. Unfortunately the house has some heavily used furniture and doesn’t appear to get thoroughly cleaned. There are also a lot of brown widows hiding in the kitchen and in many corners which could be a concern for parents with small children.

Cute Traditional cottage

Family friendly beach

I have been coming to Ocean Beach since the 70s and into the 80s. I moved out of state but have decided to visit Ocean Beach for vacations again. It didn't disappoint. This cottage is in a perfect location. I love the old style cottages as that is what my family always rented when I was a kid. They are small, but just enough room to be comfortable.

Great vacation

Great cottage and very close to beach. Owners Suzanne and Robert wonderful and brought us a new t v after we found it was broken. This year the cottage had new beautiful floors and grill. Thank you. We had a great time.

Fun times at the Shore

We've booked this same exact cottage last year, we loved it so much we couldn't wait to come back and stay again. We loved the new upgrades as well. Walking distance to the beach and really close to both boardwalks. Love all the little shops nearby. We would definitely come back.

R&R and remote classes

Perfect location for a much needed getaway. Only complaint was we did not stay longer. My kids had virtual classes and in between their classes they walked to the beach for a little break. We miss it already.

Great location. You get what you pay for.

One of the more outdated properties we've seen in the area. Needs updating as others have eluded to. Grill needs replacing. Furniture and carpet are worn. A few fans are included and are a must to get A/C to reach into bedrooms. Kitchen is stocked nicely with everything you need. We purchased a replacement blender for the cottage and owners reimbursed no questions asked. Lighting outside is poor at night so be careful. Solar lights in pics are not enough. Proximity to beach, restaurants, and shops is perfect. Overall, it was an amazing location for the price. If you're OCD about cleanliness I'd recommend looking elsewhere at a higher price point. If you're looking for a budget friendly place to rest between activities, this will do the trick. Recommend communicating with owners via text as they never responded to an email I sent them. Responsiveness over text was fine. 4 stars overall based on the price vs what you get.

The house needs major work it is in extremely poor condition and the floors and furniture are gross. I didn’t want to sit on the couch. The location was great and the beach was beautiful. There was no ac in the bedrooms so it was very hot at night. There also was no outdoor table or seating which I was aware of but If I were the owner I’d consider it because it would make the property that much better. I love the beach vibe but I’d rather stay somewhere that is a little cleaner.

Pizza box left in oven with old pizza 7 light bulbs replaced - grill was left filthy a new grill is needed- had replace propane mailed receipt to owner steps aroundbeach was great house dangerous no outside lights

Cute cottage by the beach

We enjoyed our stay at this little cottage by the beach. Owner sent easy directions for house and checking in/out. House was clean but definitely “lived-in”.

My family had been coming to this same beach for over 30 years when my husband and I had the opportunity to purchase this cottage 18 years ago. We love the beach and the family-friendly Ocean Beach Surf Club U1 community. We raised 2 kids coming here over the summer. We hope you love our beach as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The residential community is very friendly. The beach is never very crowded. Being so close to the beach the kids are able to run back and forth to the house on their own.
