About this property

Dogwood Point lake house is located 5 minutes from Central Avenue but is secluded and privately located on Lake Hamilton. It is nestled in the trees on a point overlooking Lake Hamilton.

Our home is unique because it has a lake house/cabin feel. It has two living quarters. The den is original to the home and is built of cedar and has a native stone fireplace. The living room is more modern and the entire lake side wall is constructed of glass. Birds and wildlife are abundant. Enjoy the array of Dogwood trees and other plants and flowers native to this area. Boat/jet ski rental is available on the lake and we have boat/swim dock and jet ski docks as well. We have everything you need to make it your home away from home.

R.V. hook up with water and electric provided.
Note: Water level on Lake Hamilton is lowered in the Fall.

Perfect Getaway

Fishing, Relaxing in a cabin style home. The only issue was the constant barking of the neighbors 4+ dogs. The house is nestled in a wooded area and to get to the pier to fish you have to walk down a little bit to get there which was a little challenging for my mom with a bad hip. She found a large stick to help her get down and back up the hill. Even with that she had an amazing time because she was able to fish fish fish! The home is spacious, clean, and has EVERYTHING that you need minus your food and clothes. Lol

Serene lakefront getaway

This property had ample space for a couple of families, with 2 living areas, 3 bedrooms, and a dining room overlooking the beautiful lake with expansive windows. The back patio area is also a peaceful place to soak up nature and let kids play (supervised). It was a great space for us! Phena was super responsive and pleasant! One neighboring house is sketchy and we heard arguing in the middle of the night a couple of times, with multiple dogs chained up in the backyard, which wasn't ideal, but obviously these homeowners have no control over it and we felt safe. We'd stay here again!

September celebrations

We are a small family of eight who love to spend time together for a fall mini vacation on Labor Day. We stayed in this property this year and really had a good time. The bedroom arrangement is kind of quirky but we made it work. We enjoyed that we had a good view and some on the water time. Hosts were helpful and quick with a response with our concern. Overall a great place to stay.

Lake Hamilton cottage

This house was perfect for my family vacation. It’s located close to everything in Hot Springs. It was clean and peaceful. The property manager responded very quickly with my questions. I highly recommend this for a peaceful family vacation!

Mini family vaca

This is a great house for a short trip with children. The lake access is close to the house. There is a grocery store , liquor store, and restaurants within 10 minutes.

Quiet area, with a nice view of the lake even though the water is low this time of the year. The house was cozy with a nice cabin feel. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice sized private lot and had a stocked fire pit outside. A+ stay.

Rustic and Lovely Fall Getaway

If you are looking for a quiet respite that is full of charm and quirks, this is a wonderful option. It’s not the newest build, or latest remodel, but it fulfilled everything we were looking for in a stay on the water near Hot Springs. We really appreciated the separate living rooms which allowed my early risers to watch television and allow others to sleep in. The property is tucked away, so if you enter at night you will need to trust your GPS. Had a question for the property owner and got an immediate response. It was a very pleasant stay.

Peaceful seclusion

Pros: quiet, relaxing, beautiful views. Well stocked kitchen. Convenient location. Cons: bath soap would have been nice to have. The cleaning person left unemptied garbage in the bathroom from the previous occupants. The toilet seat was filthy underneath. Overall, we still had a nice escape for our anniversary.

Buyer Beware!

Very disappointed with our rental. We were attracted to the property because of the proximity to the lake and we could dock our boat. What we did not expect was the mosquito infestation the property had. We were attacked by Thousands upon thousands of mosquitoes in attempt to reach the dock in the backyard. Needless to say it was unattainable and it changed our entire vacation plan. The deck furniture was covered in dirt and bugs. There isn’t any hot water in master bathroom. Random outlets do not work. The clear shower curtain is so dirty and old it’s now yellow. The front door handle is broken. The satellite TV did not work and we had no cell phone reception. Definitely not worth what we paid for.

Dogwood Pointe

Comfortable stay at Lake Hamilton. Plenty of space for this family of three to spread out. 15-20 min to everything we wanted to see/do, with exception of the crystal dig. Quiet setting. Everything we needed for a quiet family get away. We enjoyed our stay. We did unplug the Glade Plug In due to allergies, but not a problem.

Loved it!

Perfect property for us! We loved the house. It was plenty big enough to spread out when we wanted to with 2 large living/den areas on one end and beds/bath on the other. We put our boat in at the Lake Hamilton fishery and used the private dock to tie up to. We fished and swam from the dock all week. Oh and the sunrises are breathtaking!

Relaxing Lake Hamilton Vacation

We had a great time staying at this location. It was a nice, secluded spot that was 5-10 minutes from everything we needed or wanted to do. We would definitely stay there again.

The location on the lake was perfect! The layout of the bedrooms is very odd - you have to walk through a bedroom to reach the other bedroom. Good thing we are a close family!

Our family got electocuted at the swim dock badly, the doors won't shut or open, toliets would not work, and had listed false advertisment regarding to pets. In the end, owners ended up charging extra for something we did not do. Terrible experience and a waste of MONEY!
