Not As Advertised, Not Up to Price Range Standards
The property was not up to standard for the price range. There were a series of problems with the house, utilities and the description not matching the reality.
We followed satellite images and google maps to the location, but there were two large piles of logs at the entrance and double-track ruts all over. We called to confirm since no sign was immediately visible. The person who answered was not the contact name we were given and not familiar with the area and handed the call over to her husband. He said we were in the wrong town and the wrong valley, and gave directions to Pittsfield, etc.
Almost an hour later, we determined that Claudia’s husband has no idea what he is talking about.
The house does not meet standards for the price range. We have never stayed at a place in this price range before that was so worn-out, stained, scuffed up, grimy and so many basic functional problems.
The stove ventilation does not work whatsoever. The two right burners do not light by the pilot light. They must be hand-lit and you get singed. The rear left burner leaked while off twice and flared out suddenly in little explosions while we were using other burners. Only the front left burner lights properly. The two left pilot lights constantly fire while the other two burners are being used, then firing again. The stove is dangerous.
The entire place has been intensively logged and looks miserable. There are almost no birds or wildlife.
