Welcome to Summertime Malibu! Discover peace and privacy at this wooded 3BD/3BA beach house, perched on a cliff at the end of a cul-de-sac. 180 degree ocean views with private hot tub.

Designed by architect Matt Kivlin in 1964, this classic Malibu ranch style is a cocoon of natural wood materials and original architectural details to compliment the spectacular ocean views. With no adjacent neighbors in sight, each bedroom has high pitched ceilings.

Open the Fleetwood sliding glass doors to take in sweeping, panoramic ocean views of Queens Necklace and Catalina Island. This renovated mid-century home features amenities including central AC/heat, outdoor dining and lounge space. Kitchen includes Monogram appliances, marble countertops, Crate & Barrel plates, and Breville toaster oven.

Please enter the accurate count of guests - we charge a small extra fee for more than 4 guests to account for utilities/amenities/wear and tear on the property so please respect our pricing and reflect the proper guest count on your reservation so you know the accurate charge when you book. If the guest count is not accurate on the reservation, we will charge double the extra guest fee.

Due to the wildlife in the area and our HOA rules, this is a strict NO PETS property.

No parties allowed. This is a quiet family neighborhood with zero tolerance for parties/events/"it's not a party I just invited some extra friends over"/unauthorized photos shoots/commercial activity.

Trash service and gardener come on Wednesdays.

SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. Please do not book this property if you smoke.

Due to our location in the mountains, cell phone service can be spotty around our property. Please keep this in mind and print out driving directions and check-in information for your reference prior to your arrival. 5g wifi is available once you check-in.

Property is located behind a secured gate with code required.

This house is surrounded by some amazing nature, so you can expect to see some bugs and wildlife at times. In the summer they are especially active -- we are always clearing off spider webs and cleaning inside and outside but please understand you will probably run into some bugs & critters during your stay.

*We understand a good night's rest is one of the best ways to enjoy a vacation. Our bedrooms are furnished with luxury Aireloom mattresses, Brooklinen and Parachute Home bedding, blackout shades, and pillow/mattress protectors for cleanliness.

Serene Beauty
Immediately warm, inviting, and nostalgic, Summertime Malibu was an incredible stay. The home is thoughtfully spaced, with room for each of us to have an individual quiet moment of reflection, reading, or exercise, or gather all together for morning coffee/tea or evening dinner. The decor and energy of Summertime Malibu created imaginations of "John Wayne could have lived here! Or maybe Burt Reynolds!" It was very fun to speculate. :) I cannot say enough about the views; photos could never do them justice. And I was very pleased with the owner's quick responses to questions and very polite replies. Maybe just me, but I always feel a sense of relief when owners seem happy to help and not to mind my questions. Sophia made us feel welcome at every turn.

This house was a dream to stay in. It was even more beautiful in person and we loved waking up in the treetops above the ocean and sitting on the deck. The house was peaceful and very close to a few beautiful cliffside hikes. Sophia was very communicative and helpful with all of our needs. Highly recommend staying here.

Stunning Sunrises AND Sunsets
This gorgeous classic Malibu home is in the perfect location, on a quiet cul-de-sac off the PCH. The architecture, furniture, and entire home is well-appointed and high quality. The home has floor to ceiling windows which allow stunning views all day long. It's situated on the land such that you can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets from the outdoor patio. A wrap around porch and hot tub also have stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Our group cooks a lot and the kitchen was well-stocked with anything and everything we needed. We found a high quality (and working) food processor, blender, colander, as well as very nice dishes, silverware, and utensils. Communication with the owner was prompt and thorough. We are feeling grateful that the home was shared width us. Our group hopes to stay here again in the future.

Home is described accurately and views are gorgeous. Sophia was always prompt to answer our questions/concerns. Home is about a 10 min drive from the closest beach; 20 minutes from Santa Monica Pier and about 15-20 minutes from Malibu Pier/Lagoon State Beach. Drive to/from aiport was approx. 30 min. Amenities in the house were just what you need when you're home away from home. Hot tub was also a great plus and worked well after being at the beach all day. The only downside, which isn't related to the homeowners or home, were the neighbors dogs. I'm not sure why the neighbors decide to let their dogs out after 10pm to just bark off and on for almost 2 hours. This happened 2 nights out of the 4 nights we were there. Aside from this, gorgeous place and would recommend it 100%.

An amazing place!
An absolute gem. Sophia’s place is even more beautiful in person. The property is private with amazing views of the ocean. We had a wonderful stay with our family and highly recommend staying here. Restaurants, beaches, hiking trails are a few minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The views are amazing. The location was perfect. The house is equipped with everything you could need. So nice to have lists of recommendations for activities and restaurants as well as clear instructions for appliances etc. The owners thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay.

Magical oasis!
This was leaps and bounds our favorite property that we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The house itself is a blissful oasis that overlooks a breathtaking view of the pacific. Loved Our Stay
This felt like home and is such a cool place because while it was a perfect romantic retreat for us I can also imagine it being great for the entire family. Views are spectacular and even the drive up the hill and along the winding garden entry feel special. Our host was great, nice touches such as lotion by Aesop in every bath, games and a stocked kitchen for dining in show respect and appreciation for the guests.

Awesome - Beautiful and Charming Property
What a great experience! The property is very charming, and beautifully situated in the hills of Malibu. Great view of the ocean, sunrises, sunsets. A really cozy and comfortable home. The home was very accessible, and thoughtfully presented. I felt the owner really anticipated every need, and made our stay extremely enjoyable and easy. Will quickly rent again in the future - I can’t recommend this home enough!

Much consideration has been put into the furniture choices and design of the home as we wanted a beach house that was rustic, yet modern, comfortable and relaxing. For us, Malibu is paradise.

Why they chose this property

We searched for 14 years before finding this home. We fell in love with the town of Malibu, the people, and the beautiful scenery. The home is located on a quiet street with only a handful of homes and we are at the end of a cul-de-sac.
