The apartment style lodging was just right for little downtown Hot Springs, right in the middle of wee town life. Nothing fancy but well kept, simply, cleanly and tastefully appointed.
Nice linens and towels, comfortable beds, mini splits in all rooms. The bedrooms can be kept nice and cool.
Good, well-stored coffee is provided, which is important to me!
I got a nice two day respite for myself, doing whatever I wanted to do and was very comfortable in low key Hot Springs, where you can walk to anyplace you'd like to go.
Sarah and Keith are perfect hosts, and they're right downstairs running their restaurant/specialty food store, Vaste Riviere Provisions, right downstairs.
I stocked up on some really nice munchies from Vaste for my room after I got there, met a friend at the wine bar downstairs on the first night there, then we walked down and around the corner to the Iron Horse Cafe for a really nice trout dinner. But Vaste also has a nice little menu for breakfast and lunch. Their food is delicious and really fresh. What a nice treat.
I would certainly book again.
Just know that you need to be in good enough shape to go up a long, steep stairway between two buildings to get to the rooms/apartments. I'm 71, in OK shape and I did fine. A bit breathy the first time, but just fine after up and down several times over two days.
