About this property

Lovable Mountain Tiny Home near Cripple Creek

Summary:
We think you'll love this cute tiny home! It's tucked out of the way in a dense forest, with sweeping forest and mountain views. You won't believe how peaceful it is! You're just a few miles up Hwy 67 to Cripple Creek with small shops, restaurants, and some of Colorado's only casinos! **While the road is plowed, during winter months we do recommend 4WD for the large snow amounts Colorado mountains get each year.

The Space:
Layout:
- Studio style tiny home
- Main level has small living area, kitchenette, and bathroom
- Loft area houses bed and TV

Bedroom:
- The loft space acts as a bedroom with a queen size bed and TV

Entertainment: high speed internet, TV, and access to various TV streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, etc.)

Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the entire tiny home, including the surrounding forest. There is lots of Bureau of Land Management (Colorado public) land around here as well! There's plenty of room for parking, just make sure not to block the road.

The Neighborhood:
You'll be just 0.8 miles off Highway 67, and under 4 miles (7 minutes) to Cripple Creek. You'll drive through a county area that is an eclectic mix of million-dollar mansions and old shacks on your way to the cabin. The 0.8 mile drive off the highway is on a maintained dirt road (and plowed in the winter). You'll turn right after a trucking yard, pass a few houses, and come to this tiny home near the end of the road.

Getting Around:
If you're looking to walk around, hike, or bring your bike/ATV/etc. there's plenty of room around here. If you're looking for food or shopping or gambling at the casino, Cripple Creek is just a 7 minute drive away, and you can get to Divide in 25 minutes. Colorado Springs is 1 hour away. If you're wanting to hit the slopes, Breckenridge and Monarch are both about 2 hours away. **4WD recommended for winter months.

Other Things to Note:
AT&T and T-Mobile users do not get good signal here. Verizon and Sprint seem to be good (LTE). We do have fast wifi to help you stay connected, and you can use wifi calling.

We require ID verification, terms accepted, and security deposit for all reservations.

Interaction with Guests:
This is a remote area and we will not be onsite. If you have trouble we can be reached via messenger and can make recommendations on who to call in case of emergency.

"NEW" no way
No way this is “NEW” 1. Showerhead is calcified over. 2. Tons of retrofits for water, gas, electric, heat. And many more specifics that I communicated to owner, including what he should do to fix things. Other issues include: 1. Propane supplies the hot water and stove. If you rent this, upon arrival, check to see if the tank is attached with a plastic joint fitting (typical for small grill tanks). If not and you run out, you can’t “swap out” to the supplied backup tank without a wrench. 2. Shower head: the lowest it pivots is to waist high. Rinse body parts lower by run-off from waist. Needs as hose head. 3. Water pressure very low. 4. Hot water is on a point of use heater which is erratic. Constantly changing the hot and cold valves to get something that wasn’t scalding or ice. 5. “lights” in kitchen and bath are battery “puck” and ineffective. They’re magnetic and can be moved anywhere on any cross beam (kitchen/bath), but the owners don’t tell you that. I suggested all these points and more and how to fix to the owner and received recognition from an assistant. Suggest: 1. If “NEW” is still in the title, it’s false advertising and you will get what is described by me above. 2. Check out the owners’ two other properties on the same lot. Get perspective on history of false advertising and owner response to issues. a. Rustic 3BR Home with Hot Tub, Peak View near Cripple Creek 2743047 b. Amazing
Fantastic stay, made us want our own tiny home. We were just reflecting on our entire trip and we both cherished the lift of the tiny home with the tv, so cozy overall so amazing.

We loved this Tiny Home. The only thing that wasn't ideal is the road conditions getting to the property. The road leading up to the house is very bumpy with several dips. Otherwise everything was great!

Such an awesome property!!! Adorable tiny home equipped with everything you could need. Good size mini fridge, stocked kitchen supplies, hot water and gas. The location is beautiful and the hosts were very communicative. No trouble finding it, checking in or out. Super romantic spot, I'll be coming back with my partner next time!
