Whether you are planning your next family escapade or a truly memorable trip with your group of best friends, this magnificent five-bedroom home overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean is definitely your best option! The location is simply out of this world - sandy beaches are just outside and around the corner, while Cannon Beach and Seaside are just eight and 15 miles up the road, respectively. There is a non-profit protected nature reserve area behind the house, and the home blends in to be minimally intrusive to the wildlife.

The main entryway leads you straight to the captivating main level, which features a light-flooded living room with river rock, floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, comfortable seating, and ample windows offering unparalleled views of the glorious Pacific Ocean. Sliders will take you to a beautiful beachfront deck where you can spend entertaining evenings watching the ocean, birds coming and going, or deer and elk wandering through. This is a great spot for alfresco dining also and feel free to use the seasonal propane grill for warm-weather barbecues. Back inside, the kitchen has been completely appointed with every appliance needed to whip up delicious homemade meals - there is also a wet bar in case you would like to show off your bartending skills and surprise your guests with tasty cocktails.

Off the living room is a great room that converts into the additional primary suite. You can gather here by day to catch a football game on the TV, or watch a movie in the evening. This suite has an en suite bathroom, a designated sitting room with a smart TV, plenty of books and board games, and incredible views of the Pacific Ocean.

Downstairs, you will find three additional bedrooms and a bathroom. A door leads to the house's dedicated game room (converted from the garage). Two foosball tables, an air hockey table, and another smart TV will provide plenty of entertainment, and a door leading to the bottom floor deck overlooking the scenic Pacific Ocean awaits!

THINGS TO KNOW

Cozy Lodge
We loved this house! You walk in and are in immediate awe of how unique and beautiful this house is. We spent most our time gathered in the kitchen cooking meals and playing games on the large dining room table. Some of us didn't even get off the couch all weekend because they were too cozy watching baseball and enjoying the gas fireplace. It is safe to say we all felt right at home in this house.

Beach getaway
We had a lovely relaxing girls getaway. The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. It had a short walk to the beach. We could not have been happier. 10 minutes drive to cannon beach.

Great Beach house for s large group.
Short walk to the beach but be aware lots of uneven loose rocks to get through, 15-20 foot high beach cobble wall to scale down. House itself is very large with plenty of room. Kitchen is well supplied with any tools you need to cook with and bbq on the deck. There is a house being built right next door so it does get very loud at times.

Awesome!
We loved the big house because it had lots of space for 6 teenagers and 3 adults! Great view and accommodations. Could use a hot tub, maybe a few updates (showers), and a few more lamps....other than that, it was great!!

Rustic Charm (perhaps too much)
The house is full of character. Lots of wood and rustic touches. It's isolated but close to town and several top beaches (Hug Point, etc). Great views. It was a cool place to play games and watch the storm.Downsides: - There is absolutely NO HEAT in the bedroom on the main floor. The size of our group necessitated that we use all 5 bedrooms. There were several storms on our four night stay and as the one stuck in the room without heat, it was challenging to get a full nights sleep. Thankfully there were lots of extra blankets to use to build a makeshift fort for warmth.- In that same, main floor bedroom, there is a massive leak in the sealing above the backside of the stone fireplace chimney. When it would rain, rivers of water would run down the stones, adding an unpleasant, damp to an already freezing room. This should be repaired and soon!- One of the reasons we chose this house was for the fireplaces. We had lots of plans to sit around a crackling fire. If this is what you're planning on, look elsewhere. One of the fireplaces was marked as broken/not available for use (not mentioned on listing) while the other is gas only. This was a disappointment. Wood we purchased was worthless. - The dishes and glassware in the glass front cabinet stink. Like a lot. I don't know why (mildew?) but we had to wash every dish twice. It's a funky house with lots of quirks. Our group had an enjoyable stay, but that's down to a good group of friends more than anything.

We were a group of 11 people including one kid. The home is large with bedroom and bed options to suit everyone. The kitchen is well equipped with serving dishes, baking and cooking utensils, pots & pans. We enjoyed meals at the large table and played games in the evenings. We also used the game room on the bottom floor, which was fun. The views are lovely and terrific sunsets. The only negatives are that the beds were a bit hard for our liking and there was not adequate lighting in the kitchen or upstairs bathroom. Other than those two minor things, we highly recommend this property.

Great house for big family
The house was great! It definitely feels like a beach house and has a great view of the ocean. It’s big and roomy for a large group and it’s nice that there are separate hang out areas like the game room or sun room for people to have their space. The beach is a quick walk but to get to the sand, we had to climb over some rocks that were way more treacherous than they appeared. Several of us slipped, but not too badly. Because of the rocks, we only went to the beach a few times. But we still had fun because the house was roomy enough to hang out in and have fun. I would definitely recommend this to a group just looking to spend some time together.

Pros: HUGE house. Comfortable couches and beds. Huge kitchen table- this house fit our large group of girls. The views from every room are wonderful! Very private feeling home, secluded and nestled away from the bustle of the Oregon coast tourists. Cons: steeeeeep driveway. Many different types of steps up into the house which doesn't sound like a big deal unless some of your party happen to be in their golden years. There was no beach access directly from this house- the trail we did find was near the house though. To get onto the beach you must walk over very loose round rocks that aren't stable. Overall take away: I would return to this house if I wanted a private, quiet beach getaway and quick easy beach access wasn't top priority.

Disappointing
Overall the house is not comfortable for a group of 8 - most of the living space is in a bedroom. No comfortable place to hang out together. Only one modern shower - all others weird old tubs with make shift showers We left a day early. The only thing that worked was the number of beds and the dining room table. The game room in the garage smells and only one game worked

Beautiful location, wonderful home
This home was large and very cozy. We immediately felt right at home. It stayed warm on the cool days and nights we experienced being there in early March. The beds and furnishings were comfortable and there was extra bedding available. We traveled with 7 children so the game room was a hit! The large dining area was perfect for us and one of the reasons I chose this home for our spring break stay. It really was perfect for us. The deck was a beautiful place to be all day long. Some things I wish I would have known about it, the properly does not directly connect to the beach. You do have to walk down the street and follow a path even though the pictures make it seem like you have direct beach access from the home. Not quite true, but not a huge deal either. There is good room for parking but the drive to get there is off the main road, on a dirt road that is quite bumpy and can get muddy if it’s raining. Most homes we have rented have had some basic supplies in them, such as salt and pepper and maybe some spices. This home did not. You do need to bring and buy even sugar and salt and seasoning. The home is old. It’s beautiful and has such charm but there were cobwebs and some dust around. Otherwise, no complaints at all. We loved staying here.

Comfortable Beach house
My family of 8 stayed a week in July. We loved the LARGE, comfortable beach house. We've been coming to the Oregon Coast for many years; Arch Cape specifically. The house we always rented before this one underwent a remodel, totally taking away all the charm. Although it was beautiful, it looked like any condo remodel. This house worked great for our needs. We were celebrating my 80 year old Dad's birthday, and he was able to stay on the main level, avoiding the stairs up and down. There are 2 living areas, and a very large dining table that worked out great. We also used the grill several times. There were plenty of dishes and cookware. The beach access was just a couple of houses down. There is a steep hill , so I would drive my Dad up and down the hill. The path is very easy from there. There are small rocks to cross to get to the beach, but there was a worn path in the rocks. My dad was able to do it fine , and a walking stick made it even better. There are plenty of bathrooms, and I loved the big tub upstairs. I didn't love the shower for that particular tub, as it had the circular rod at the top, with the shower curtain enclosing you as you shower. That's just a part of having that great tub. It's not a new house, if that's what you're wanting, go get a condo on the beach, or pay a lot more for a remodeled one. I love the charm and feel of this house. One thing I was disappointed by was that there is a new construction house next door, very close. It does not show this in the pictures. Maybe update pictures? Overall... I would and will stay here again.
