This home is lovely. Nicely decorated and extra amenities such as delicious coffee and everything you need to make a yummy meal. Candice was great with communication. The best part of this home is high-quality items such as furniture and cooking items. We would definitely stay again!
Beautifully appointed home. Great kitchen to prepare meals. Comfortable bedroom. Lovely shower. We loved some of the personal touches in unit such as the family photos. The unit is conveniently located a few steps from the Anacostia River Trail for walking/hiking or biking and is only a few kms from the monuments, museums and sights of the National Mall area. Host was super friendly and answered any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Candice
Actress and producer, retired dancer, and yoga enthusiast born and raised in Washington, DC. I split my time between New York City and DC. I enjoy cooking, watching movies, gardening, and traveling. My DC home originally belonged to my paternal grandparents and it has always been a safe haven and place of comfort. In recent years I redesigned the kitchen and bathroom, and updated all of the infrastructure. I continue making improvements because for me space matters. A home should serve multiple purposes, chief among them are comfort and cleanliness. I have a touch of OCD and I am very particular about how my space is kept and cared for. This is a good thing for guests because it means I've really attempted to cover all the details.
Why they chose this property
You'll love my home for comfort and attention to details that I've fussed over. When it's time to go out, you'll enjoy how conveniently you can get most anywhere else in DC. For the leisure enthusiasts, River Terrace is an adventurer's paradise. There are endless biking and walking trails, multiple parks, golfing, tennis, basketball, and more. Dining out and nightlight are just a stones throw away along the H Street Corridor, Barracks Row (in Capitol Hill), and Navy Yard. Want a quiet evening at your home away from home? This is the house to do that. It's so comfy and inviting, and it's makes me very proud to share my precious home with you.
What makes this property unique
Design and layout. I designed the kitchen and have labored over how best to furnish to maximize space, flow, and function.
Cleanliness. I'm a stickler for this and work very hard to prepare the space for guests. You'll also see some family photos, and a few personal items, but there's absolutely no clutter. I'm constantly thinking of ways to make my home more comfortable for both myself (when it's not booked) and guests. As of late, it's all about the garden which is an evolving work in progress. Guests can relax on the front porch and take in the beautiful setting, watch the various pollinators flutter around, and see the birds come and go.
