Our family (myself, husband, and 3 grown children) were looking for some relaxing downtime. This cottage was perfect for that! We hardly left since we had everything we could possibly want/need at the cottage. I can’t even describe the beauty with any justice. We can’t wait to go back!
It is a nice place and Denise was very prompt in getting back to me. That being said, there was an abundance of mice droppings in the beds, the towels, on the kitchen counters, in the drawers, etc. Denise did have Orkin come out right away and I washed all of the towels, bedding and any dishes before we used them.
Beautiful, spacious, clean retreat. We had prompt and clear communication with the host. Amenities were as advertised. We have already booked for next year!
Had an awesome time with our ice fishing group. House worked out awesome with our setup along with the hot tub and heated mats at the door. Definitely will be coming back next year
This was a perfect place to relax and gather with family. My wife grew up in Grayling and we have camped a lot on the lake with grandkids in past. Brought back great memories. Caught fish too!
This is a great lake house, with large kitchen and bedrooms. The deck out front is huge, with a fantastic view of lake Margrethe, which is a hidden gem itself. Very well stocked and clean property. We would for sure stay here again.
The cottage was everything we had hoped for. The owners have decorated it tastefully and included everything we needed and more. Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for an up north getaway.
We stayed for my husbands 40th with another couple and our kiddos and it was perfection. House is beautiful and a fire was going for us upon arrival. It was so cozy and the view of the lake is beautiful. The house is so well stocked. The bar and game room area was such a fun “extra”. Really can’t say enough good things!
The home was very lovely and was perfect for a get together with family and friends. The extra touches the homeowner had for rentals was fabulous! Will definitely come back.
there were 9 adults and every one of us had a great weekend! This is more of a Lake house, but super clean and comfortable. Hot tub was perfect and big deck to hang out with a long dock we were able to bring our boat and a golf cart to cruise around. The neighbors are friendly, but they are fairly close.
Beautiful cabin right on the lake. Nicely decorated. The cabin had everything we needed. Location was nice had we gone in the summer since it’s on the lake, but winter has little to do. Cabin had games, etc, but Grayling had little to offer. Nice place to kick back and relax.
The house was spacious, clean, well-laid out. Kitchen very well-equipped, although we didn’t cook much. Owners were fast and responsive if there were any issues. ( There was only one, with Internet). We would definitely stay here again.
Well stock kitchen. Plenty of room inside the home the to spread out in the different rooms.
A very usable dock to park multiple pwc's and a boat. The water is very clear even two hundred feet from the dock.
During the time we were there very little boat traffic. It was like having your own private lake to enjoy.
I have stayed at my share of properties, and this property ranks among the top. Where do I begin? Modern knotty pine walls and floors, spacious interior spaces, ample kitchen and accessories (thank you!), bar room with a bottle of wine and snacks awaiting my arrival (both a nice touch and first impression), clean and breathtaking views from the hot tub, bedrooms inviting as if they were my own.
I cannot forget to mention the gorgeous views of the lake from the living room - with a roaring fire nearby.
Denise was very responsive to my inquiries, worked with me early on to accommodate my needs, and otherwise, made for a most memorable weekend.
I hope to stay at this Up North cottage again someday!
This property was absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and tidy and was stocked (black stone, fire wood, k cups) with so many amenities that we wouldn’t have had to bring. The house has 5 separate beds plus a large couch and a futon. There is heat and A/C and a wood burning fireplace inside. The house is right on the water and had a dock for our use. The water is very shallow (2-3 feet) around the shoreline so if you are bringing a boat you’ll probably want to bring a pontoon. The property owners were so responsive leading up to the trip and once we got there. We two minor issues with no hot water and no gas in the black stone. We messaged the homeowner and their property manager (who lives Next door) was changing the gas out on the black stone before I even get a response from the homeowner. The hot water heater was just turned off and once we switched it on it was great. All in all this place was perfect and I will certainly be coming back!
Such a cozy place. We came for a short getaway with out of town family.
We're from Holland and had family in from Connecticut and wanted a few northern Michigan days away. We will definitely be back! The place is beautiful!! After a long day of skiing the hot tub was amazing! Host was very responsive to questions during our planning process! Thanks so much for a great stay! We made some treasured memories❤️

My family and I are really enjoying Lake Living...the girls are already surfing and water skiing like pros and in the winter we've really enjoyed skiing at Caberfae Peaks Ski resort. We want to try a new the local ski resorts every winter. For a quick outside adventure the family will go to Hanson Hills just 5 minutes away or the girls ice skate in our backyard. My husband and I love watching them from our home with a nice hot toddy in hand :) The snowmobile/ATV trail systems, and Ice Fishing are right in our backyard as well. Hope you'll enjoy your stay... we will leave it nice and cozy for ya...
