Location is very convenient to Vail and Beaver Creek. House is spacious. Decor is dated but overall was clean and usable.

A little disappointing

The location was convenient between Beaver Creek and Vail, but we have definitely had better rentals. A small investment in newer bedding and kitchenware would go a long way.

Great Location - Ok house

This property is in a great spot in Eagle-Vail. It for sure has lots of potential but is showing its age. The bedding and furniture really should be updated and the carpet is pretty well stained. It worked for our needs for a weekend away.

Nice Place with Some Improvements Needed

Overall, this home is a great place to stay if you're exploring the local area and/or planning to ski at Beaver Creek and Vail. It's extremely convenient, though you will have to drive 5-10 minutes to both places because there are no buses nearby. There is ample space for a family or a group of friends, and all the kitchen items you would need for a large group. Another nice perk is the space to park three vehicles. However, we immediately ran into some issues, which were likely a product of this being a newer listing. First of all, when we arrived, it was freezing outside but the heater was turned off; thus, the inside temperature was 38 degrees Fahrenheit. One friend found mouse droppings in her bed, and there were more droppings in the kitchenware. The Wi-Fi was inoperable until someone could come fix it on our second day, and the garage door failed to work until fixed as well. Finally, there was a giant, messy pile of trash on the side of the house which attracted raccoons. Individually, none of these issues were all that bad, but in aggregate, it became a little frustrating. Vacasa does not respond to messages in the VRBO app, but they were very helpful once I called their customer service line. Angie, the assistant general manager, even reached out to me directly to get these issues resolved in a timely manner, which we all really appreciated. They also took care of us in the end and made things right. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a little vacation in the mountains with friends or family, especially now that Vacasa is aware of the initial issues and seems to have resolved them.

Needs a deep clean, repairs and better maintenence

We booked this STR for 3 weeks. Three of our adult children and 2 teenage grandkids rotated through. The first night the furnace failed due to a plugged filter, that had been neglected and temp in the house dropped to 55. The prop mgr had unit heaters promptly delivered. HVAC techs arrived and found the problem. Sheer neglect. The HVAC tech said they had previously informed the prop mgr and owner that the furnace needed work, beyond a filter change and had been told no. As we started looking closely at the house it was filthy. I went and bought a new vac (as the old vac in the house was broken) I filled the new Shark vac 4X with dirt from the carpet. My wife scrubbed the grimey kitchen floors multiple times to reveal the grout was not black, but gray. Signs of mouse infestation and potential black mold in main floor king ceiling. Walls, kitchen cabs, light switches have not been cleaned in the recent past. Many other issues. This house should not be a STR in my professional opinion, (we own hospitality properties). We left 5 days early and the property manager asked why we didn't ask to have things fixed and the short answer is none of what we encountered could be remedied while the house is occupied. We did receive a partial refund. In our opinion this house is overpriced and misrepresented in the listing. We've rented STRs for 15+ years and this is the worst one we've ever experienced. I won't rent another STR without direct dealing with the owner. Lesson learned.
