About this property
3+ BR Victorian w/parking near UVM and downtown
This is our lovingly restored primary residence located in a residential section of Burlington. We have been hosting guests in our shared home since 2013, but are now opening up (most of) the rest of the home for rental on an occasional basis. This includes 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and common spaces. Our home is located on a quiet residential side street about 2 blocks to the University of Vermont green and a 15 minute walk to the upper end of Church Street, Burlington's pedestrian corridor.
The space
First floor has a comfortable living room with 3 comfortable sofas and smart TV. The dining room can seat 6-8 people and is set just off the kitchen. Our kitchen is meant for using with a huge granite-topped island with a separate sink, a 6-burner stove, and 2 ovens in addition to many fine small appliances. Feel free to use our cooking basics like herb and spices and basic condiments.
There are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and an additional extra-long twin on the 3rd floor. There are two full bathrooms, both with a deep-tub/ shower combination, and a powder room on the first floor.
In the warmer months, you can make use of the fully wrap-around porch with comfortable seating, dining table and grill, as well as the backyard.
We have high-speed internet service throughout the house.
Unfortunately, due to allergies and antique floors, we cannot accept pets.
This is our primary home and therefore personal items will remain within the home during guest stays.
Guest access
Guests will have access to full house and outdoor areas except for the garage and 2 small rooms that will be kept locked.
There is parking in our driveway. Uber and Lyft as well as a free public bus system are also available. And, of course, we are easy walking distance to downtown.
Other things to note
Because this is our primary residence, we have closed off a couple of rooms (a side-bedroom and small office) and our pantry cabinet entirely to keep our personal belongings. But there will be plenty of room for you to unpack your bags and store your groceries and otherwise make the place your temporary home.
