From the moment we booked, we felt welcomed and cared for. The hosts were extremely helpful in getting us in esrly to get ready for our sons wedding. Their home is located close to everything you want. Completely stocked like home. The roomy, beautifully decorated, internet accessible and availability of television apps allowed us to catch the MSU March madness game in comfort.
Great location, bike path across the street, fenced in backyard so our bird dog could do her thing. Inside, the house was very clean, smelled nice, was decorated very cute, and was very well stocked. The owners have provided almost anything you could wish for on a vacation. Our family enjoyed playing games, watching a movie, and resting in the home. We ventured to Grand Haven, Holland, and Saugatuck easily. The binder of info and welcome basket were great touches. We’d like to visit again in summer and Fall! Easy communication with owners.
Diane made the process very easy and check in went fine. The home itself was clean, smelled great and the little touches like coffee and snacks was a nice touch. Beds were comfy and the bedrooms themselves were nicely decorated. Really liked the fact that our dog could come with us, the fenced in yard worked out perfect for her to do some running around. The yard has plenty of seating and nice patio lights, but due to the colder weather we really didn't sit out there much. We used our Netflix and Amazon for TV and the internet connection worked perfect, no lag at all. All around great property and hosts. The Holland downtown area was really nice to do some shopping and dining, try out the Irish Restaurant, great food and atmosphere. Thanks again for letting us stay, hope to stay again soon!
I would recommend this place it has everything you need and more! The location is great close to hiking, shopping, and the beach! The back yard is great our fur babies loved it too!
We celebrated a late Christmas our son and girlfriend that live in Holland. Our other son and his wife stayed also. This home was the most well stocked home that we’ve ever rented. The hosts thought of everything and were so nice. We will be staying here again. We cannot say enough about the amazing experience. Thank you Diane! You guys and your rental are awesome!
Great location convenient to everything in Holland area. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Well stocked home with all conveniences you need in kitchen. Would highly recommend staying at this home.
We came together from TX and MI to spend time together as a family. It was a lovely location close to Holland and a variety of beaches. The accommodations where perfect for our needs.
Highly recommended. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated, and the process was smooth. This is a great pet-friendly spot. The fenced back yard was a life saver.
The house was really nice. The owners go above and beyond to stock the home with thoughtful touches. You can tell the owners care about what people may want and need. This was a perfect place to stay, very nice, very clean. House is tucked away in a little space that feels like you are in the country, but yet it is just right outside of town. I would definitely stay at this home again.
We really had an amazing time and the house was beautiful. The beds were great the showers all worked well. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes. Would definitely recommend this home to friends. Thank you so much 😊
We had a very nice stay at this house. The host had many extras in the house (stocked coffee bar, welcome snacks, lots of beach items in the garage). Kitchen had many items to use for cooking. Beds were very comfortable and house was very clean. Highly recommend!
Great rental option in Holland. Well stocked kitchen, lots of extra bedding and towels (which most rentals tend to lack), and a beautiful outdoor space.
Rented the house for the weekend for my buddies and I to get ready at before my wedding at Macatawa Legends and it was super convenient and the owners were amazing! 10/10 would recommend
The property was absolutely serene and a comfortable place to relax and spend quality time with family! The attention to detail regarding the possible needs of renters was impressive, including the welcome basket. We especially enjoyed being able to have our dogs with us and they took full advantage of the fenced in yard and dog beds provided by the hosts.
Diane and Bob were great hosts and have truly thought about those who rent their serene escape!
We would give this house 10 stars if we could! We have stayed in countless other vacation rentals throughout the country and this was the cleanest, most well stocked, most welcoming home! We rented over Thanksgiving for four nights. When we entered the house, it was decorated for Christmas! What a bonus! We all loved the coffee/cocoa bar and the snacks that were left on the table for us. Our kids loved the bunk beds and Nintendo Switch. What a treat for them! The house was so well stocked with towels and bedding, as well as all kitchen dishes, serving platters, and gadgets you'd need (even for Thanksgiving)! Our dog loved exploring the fenced in backyard, too! The owners were incredibly quick to reply to any questions and offered to let us check in early. We also were able to add on another day at the last minute. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back again!
I can't say enough. After a long drive, the Welcome Gift Basket was very appreciated. Located 15-20 from Grand Haven, Holland, and Saugatuck. You are surrounded by trees and very few neighbors. It is peaceful and calming. We were amused daily by the variety of birds at the feeders. The first floor bedroom was perfect for my 79 year old mom who joined us from California. The deck was lovely at night with the lights. It also makes a great backdrop for family photos. We have two Dobermans and a Mastiff, and we were perfectly comfortable with the fencing in the backyard. The house itself was well supplied with anything you can think of: dog bowls, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, a great grill, etc.
We rented a sport boat with Holland Water Sports and took the dogs. We sailed with Mort on Sweetwater River Sailing in Saugatuck. Then we enjoyed a pontoon with Grand Haven Boat Rentals.
Shopping in Grand Haven is always fun. The kids spent a fortune at Buffalo Bob's (two new skateboards). In Saugatuck, I highly recommend the Pink Patio with its unique gifts for outdoors.
Food was wonderful. For Grand Haven, we highly recommend Snug Harbor and you can't go wrong at the Toasted Pickle. For Saugatuck, you would have said the Mermaid Cafe, but it closed. As an alternative, I would recommend The Southerner, The Butcher, or The BARge.
Bob and Diane were wonderful hosts. We will surely be back. Thank you again for a family memory we will never forget.
