Shea Oaks was just what we were looking for, a cabin in the woods with a firepit. Cabin was clean nice decor, kitchen cabinet are labeled making it easy to find what your looking for. We enjoyed watching the deer roaming around us. We took advantage of the firepit every evening.,Very relaxing weekend.
Stayed for one night with friends, the screened in porch and firepit are highlights for sure. The house doesn't have AC but is well shaded and has ceiling fans to keep you cool.
We really enjoyed the closed in patio and open deck. We saw deer up close every day. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Annie's Cozy Kitchen just 10 minutes away was awesome!!! Would highly recommend this getaway
Shea Oaks Cabin is tucked away in the woods off of a quiet country road. The cabin is spacious yet cozy and clean.
Main bedroom with king bed along with main bathroom is on the first floor. There is a kitchen with everything you need to make meals. The large living/dining room is airy and has a 3 person couch with two comfy recliners. Dining table seats 4. There is a screened in porch along with an large open air porch just outside. There is also a mud/laundry room on the first floor with a washer/dryer.
Upstairs you will first encounter the two twin bedroom with a closet. Bring a power strip for this bedroom, not a lot of outlets to charge your electronics. You can find outlets downstairs. There is a full bathroom upstairs between the two bedrooms. The third bedroom has a queen bed with more outlets along with a closet.
We enjoyed the quietness of this cabin along with the roaming turkeys and deer throughout the day. Lots of song birds in the morning to listen to from the screened in porch. There is a nice firepit with chairs. The steps to the firepit are lighted at night (nice touch). If you feel like fishing, Maple Lake is accessed by a short walk down the road to a wide access path to the lake. You will find a small dock with a bench to fish for small mouth bass and bluegill. We caught and released them to live another day. We enjoyed our stay at the Shea Oaks Cabin.
Outstanding place to stay for a week of fishing at the lake. The cabin included everything we enjoy. Wildlife, forest walking trails and a well decorated cabin. Grilled out, smors by the fire ring and great covered patio (No bugs).
It was just what we needed. It was nice to fish and have a nice place to return to. All the amenities needed. if I had more time I would have stayed longer. Great place to just relax. Not far from local attractions. Clean, fresh good ambiance. Overall great stay.
My husband and I enjoy spending time in quiet woodsy areas and this home did not disappoint!
The house itself is impeccably clean and the best stocked rental home we’ve ever seen. Fully stocked kitchen with nice (not cheap) items, fully stocked linens, paper products etc. the location of this home is breathtaking. It’s in a beautiful wooded landscape and includes an outdoor deck, screened room as well as adjacent fire pit - with wood provided! If you’re looking for ORV/ATV trails, they are 10 miles east and because you can ride on the roads in Lake county, it’s just a short drive to get to them. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d definitely stay here again!
