Nice Weekend Getaway

The cabin was just as advertised. The girls loved exploring the common areas outside and walking the paths through the woods. The cabin itself was fairly clean. The one window had a small crack and the bedroom window didn't shut completely (fixed while we were there) but overall was very nice. The back deck/fire pit was welcoming. We were able to roast hotdogs the first night but it rained the entire second day of our stay. We tried to play the Wii that was provided but couldn't seem to get it to work. All in all, it was a very nice, private weekend away. We would definitely come back.

Fall getaway

Cabin was clean, quaint and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed the front porch and backyard fire pit with seating. The deer that passed through the property was a special treat. Wish the area had more options for eating out, groceries but the remoteness was part of the chatm

Cute cabin!

I just wish it listed on the property you’re with three other cabins, and let you know which cabin you’re actually in. Other wise good stay. If people are bringing their dog, please clean up after your pet outside. It’s common courtesy. AC works great! Cute little town. Cabin was adorable though.

Nice little cabin, very quite, Hosts were accommodating

It is advertised to sleep more than what really would work comfortably. But I guess doable. Futons are just that futons. They are not the greatest to sleep on. Host was going to provide a blow up bed, but wasn't needed as the others that were supposed to come, did not. So the two of us were comfortable. Place was clean and a very nice cabin. I will come again when I return to the area again.

Quick stop in a sweet spot

We stopped at this sweet cabin on our way across country. It was clean, comfortable and very private. There was plenty of room for the dog to romp and we grilled steaks on the outdoor grill and enjoyed the end of the day from the rocking chairs on the porch. If we come back this way, we will certainly stay here again.

Cute cabin

This was a cute cabin that was in walking distance to a festival we were going to, which was a nice perk. We only had time to stay one night but we can't wait to come back. We wish we cold have staid a couple nights to take advantage of the fire pit. The only thing it needed was more washcloths and pillow cases. There looked like there were 4 cabins spaced out on the property, which would make a great location if you had a few small groups traveling or staying together.

cool cabin🌻

perfect spot to enjoy nature. The cabin was designed with a modern touch and rustic feel. Clean, cozy and just nice to look at. There was so much livable space from the front porch, back deck bar and sunken in fire pit with lights. The cabin was close to lots of great trails and sights. The owners were incredible and helped with getting the fire started for us. Truly an incredible experience and place to make a new memory, thank you✨

Cozy and cute

This cabin is adorable! Clean, cute and just like the pictures. We were not able to enjoy all it has to offer as we were only there 1 night, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Brittany was great also. Very communicative.

Fun Family Getaway

We had an enjoyable weekend in the Cook Forest area. The cabin was beautiful- inside and out looked just like the photos. It seemed as though the cleaning/restocking process was interrupted as there were no towels and some unclean areas (shower, fire pit area, inside of fridge). We reached out to the owner right away via Vrbo messenger and again the next morning via text message and she eventually got us what we needed. She was apologetic and communicated about extenuating circumstances which caused this. The kitchen had enough basic equipment to make dinner both nights, but was missing many of the items we normally have at home to make other meals (mixing bowl, whisk, tongs, salt and pepper, etc.) so bring those specific things if you need more than the most basic tools. These issues did not prevent us from enjoying the weekend and will not deter us from visiting the cabin again in the future. Thanks for a great weekend stay!

Great for a week end getaway

My sister, Aunt and I used the cabin for our Girls’ Weekend, we really enjoyed ourselves. The fire pit is amazing!! Nice wooded surrounding area. Linens are provided, we could have used a few more towels and washcloths, and the kitchen had only one dish towel and dish cloth. You will need to bring bedding if using the two futons for sleeping. But overall I would highly recommend!

Check in problems

The space was nice and as listed but we were unable to check in till 6:30 at night because that is when it became clean. It was very difficult getting anyone to communicate with us and very frustrating when no one answered.

Nice, clean new cabin with good location.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is new and very clean. It was nice to have sheets and towels provided, although we could find no sheets/blankets for the futons (although we did not request them). We visited in December so we did not use the outdoor space - it looked great though! We used the cabin as a central point to lots of great hiking, which was perfect for us. My only negative would be the lack of basic kitchen items. Our host was very responsive to us!

About the host

Hosted by Brittany Gibbs

Host profile image
This will be a Forest Villas very first season in service! The founder is named Johnny, and I am Brittany, co-owner and property manager. We met the first season of our other property, and I was fortunate enough to be able to help shape and mold everything we offer our guests. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service, quick response times, and of course customer satisfaction. This is our first raw land commercial development. It has been an amazing amount of work, and more rewarding than I could have anticipated.

Johnny was raised in this area and has a insiders understanding of not only how to provide the best experience for the guests, he is also a great resource if guests are looking for something in particular. He is a loving father (Pic above), dedicated businessman, and a truly talented visionary.

I came to this area three and a half years ago on a nursing contract, and rented one of his units. It wasn’t long before I was presented with the opportunity to be part of this special company. Since then, it has been an amazing adventure. We take pride in what we have created, tho being able to provided a home away from home, a space just waiting to see what kind of unforgettable memories you'll make, has been the most special part. We can't wait to host you too!

Why they chose this property

Amazing location conveniently located off Rt 66. Easy access to town and minutes away from a plethora of activities from wine tastings, to hunting and fishing, or simply relaxing in the river after a hike in the woods. Recently renovated and jam-packed with amenities; we can’t wait to share our space with you.

What makes this property unique

We pride ourselves on being available anytime a guest needs us with a 100% response rate on other platforms and donned with a Super Host title! While this cabin and listing are both new to VRBO, we can’t wait to fill up the reviews. Being able to provide you with an amazing experience is at the core of our passion.

We are located between the Allegheny national forest and the infamous cooks forest. There are several trails of varying degrees of difficulty and composure. We are very well known for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as well. If that is not your cup of tea, we are only a few minutes from the Allegheny National River. Pick a Cove and jump in or along the river front, there is a canoe/raft rental company that also provides transportation!

While in town most any essential need is available and the small close knit community will make you feel like family. Marienville is truly a hidden gem!
