Great stay!
This property was just as described in the listing and was perfect for our large family trip. The rooms are spacious and the home was clean when we arrived. It is an easy walk to the beach and conveniently located. Any issues we had with the property were promptly addressed by the owner. I would recommend it to anyone.

Was not properly cleaned plus a number of other issues
The home obviously had not undergone a deep cleaning- dust- and dirt-covered ceiling fans, fixtures, crevices of the 1st-floor bathroom floor, etc. The cover to the receiving vent was open when we checked in, revealing a FILTHY filter which obviously had not been changed in months. The shower curtain in the first-floor primary bathroom was covered in soap scum, and bar soap from the previous guests covered in hair was left in the shower. The tub stopper was…gross. I refused to give my children a bath in that tub. The mattress cover on the king bed in the first-floor primary bedroom had some weird black stain. The old and worn mattress on the trundle bed was not covered, and the frame was caked in dust. The mattress in the queen-sized bed upstairs was also very dirty. The pull-out sofa bed in the loft was worn, broken, and uncomfortable. There was a broken door handle in one of the bathrooms. We did not find the remote to the tv in the bedroom with the queen bed until the day before we checked out when vent filter and door handle issue was finally addressed. The cleaning lady arrived at 9am on the last day (was rude) but we never said were leaving before the 10am checkout time given. This impeded our ability to get our stuff out. The lady said the owner told us the wrong checkout time and had done this before, and she “needed all the time before 4pm” to clean the home. How is that our problem? We even had to ask her to move her vehicle so guests could get out of the driveway.

Straight shot to the left right before the beach road from the toll road into Destin. Nice space for a large group with plenty of beds. Very short walk to the beach which the boardwalk has cover, bathrooms, and outside showers. Great location for a family get together!

Awesome House with Short Walk to Beach
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay with 3 Master Suites for my wife and I and our two adult sons and their wives.Plenty of room for everyone including our 3 grand daughters age 8,11 and 12. The private pool was great to have around as the kids were in it constantly if we were not at the beach. The kitchen was large and modern which was great as we cooked most of our meals in the house. The large covered porches and balconies were used a lot especially in the evenings to sit around and have adult beverages and great conversations with our kids. We highly recommend this house as it was everything we needed for a family vacation.

Great place for a larger group!
We were struggling trying to find somewhere that could accommodate more than 2 cars, so this was perfect for us. The driveway easily fit all 5 of ours, and could have probably fit another 1-2. The house was beautiful and the pool was great! Loved how stocked the kitchen was, and the beds were super comfy. Would definitely recommend.

Dreamy House in Destin
This property is so beautiful. Plenty of bedrooms and baths for large gatherings. The kitchen was stocked so well with everything you could possibly need for cooking, dining, and cocktails. What we enjoyed so much was the lovely pool and the many hours we spent everyday on the porches. We will be returning to this lovely beach house in the very near future.

Excellent location!!! So close to beach and we also loved having a heated pool. Took about 36 hours for the pool to actually be warm enough -but paid for 4 days so that isn’t ideal. Bathrooms are a little dated and no closet in upstairs master to hang clothes in. These are tiny and not deal breakers! We loved the kitchen area and outdoor patio!!! We would definitely stay here again!

Got caught in the middle of sale from one owner to another
I am not rating this property, as there is now a new owner. The original owner, Paige - who we rented from originally was so kind and helpful throughout the rental process, but the house was sold and closed on literally two days before we checked in. The pool was green and full of debris, and the pump was not running on check in day. When I attempted to contact the new owner, he was very rude and condescending saying I needed to contact the previous owner. The previous owner very kindly agreed to send her pool guy out the next day. 2 days after our check in the pool was finally swimmable, but the very next day a large crew of landscapers came to service the entire property while we were there renting. They were working all around the pool deck and cutting down trees and plants, so once again the pool was not usable. The next day the pool was again full of debris from the landscapers and needed chlorine, so once again not usable. The pool was only serviced once during our stay - on our second day there, and only after contacting the previous owner. When we checked out, the pool was very dirty and not usable. I felt bad for the next family that was checking in.

Great Stay!
We had a great time!! The property is an awesome location. We rented a golf cart, but also a simple and short walk to the beach! The house was clean and Page was a quick text or call away if we needed anything. We had a large group, with little ones (ages 3,4,8) and they had so much fun in the pool! Definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for a great stay!

My family and I had a very nice stay at Family Tides. Family Tides is a spacious property located in a great neighborhood. Page was very nice, wonderful to work with and was very responsive to any questions that we had and offered great suggestions of things to do in the area.

Great location and home for a large family beach vacation!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this home. A special thanks to the owners — they communicated very well, were prompt responding and gave us reminders throughout the week too. The house has a nice collection of most the things you may need during the week, including pack n’ play crib. Had games, wagons, beach toys, etc. Kitchen is large, has all of the things you may need to eat at home. Nice media package with TV, and fast wifi. Would recommend for large groups including small kids for a beach vacation.

The house was very clean and fresh when we checked in. Easy walking distance to the beach. Wagon and chairs provided for ease. Nice pool area to relax. All kitchen supplies available and plenty of linens. The owner was very easy to reach. We were very pleased with the house snd our overall experience.

Great location, just not cleaned well
The house is huge and in a great location, just hated that the house felt like it had not been cleaned after the prior guest. We actually vacuumed and mopped when we got there. The owner was quick to respond and apologize and stated that they were using a temporary cleaning lady. My whole family just complained about the dirtiness of the property and stated that we would not be back here next year. I hate it because it was a good size and good location and we are trying to find a house we like and just keep renting the same one every year, but it's just not well taken care of.

Beautiful, well-stocked home, just a short walk to the beach
This is a beautiful home that easily accomodated a party of 14 (8 adults and 6 chiildren), with more than enough sleeping space, and kitchen/dining space. The house is well stocked with anything you might need. The beach is only about a three minute walk, with a nice little restaurant, Camilles, on the way. The beach is public, so you are allowed to bring umbrellas, chairs, etc. There is a nice little pool in the backyard, and most important, there is parking for up to 5 cars! All in all, this house gave us everything we needed for an excellent family vacation.

Perfect Beach Vacation!
What a great week at Family Tides. Perfect location just a couple blocks from the beach. With a ramp! Home was well appointed, clean and plenty of sleeping space. Very large kitchen, dining and family space so everyone could gather or move around easily. The pool was clean and a perfect size for spàshing and cooling off...and gated so children were safe. All in all, highly recommend Family Tidesand and already booked for next June. Thanks for the hospitality!
