This charming Victorian was a wonderful family home for our all-ages group. Wonderful modern kitchen and bathrooms, with charming rooms and hidden nooks. Great yard space, easy parking and ideal walkable location. One note, all bedrooms are upstairs and the 3 single beds are all located on the third floor.
The house was clean and well equipped with basice needs and supplies. Great backyard. Very centeral to every attraction and grocery store. Plenty of space for all 6 of us to enjoy. Lots of games to enjoy w family.
We had a great stay in Colorado Springs! The house was was beautifully renovated and had room for our entire party of 8 to have their own space. The kitchen was perfect for our foodie children to prepare delicious meals, and within walking distance to enjoy morning coffee and shopping. It worked out perfectly for our family reunion. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to our hosts, Chris and Dawn!
The house is amazing! It was perfect for our family and grandparents to stay for a long weekend. The house was clean and well loved. Beds were comfy. Hot water and water pressure abounds. Large kitchen. Lots of sitting and eating places for everyone. Everyone could find a space to be together or to read alone. It was perfectly located in the middle of the springs. The owner was wonderful, he let us stay late into the check out day to spend more time with our daughter who is a cadet. It was a great experience. THANK YOU!
Indoor home was immaculately clean, which is much appreciated. The house is older thus understand the challenges in upkeep, but the front porch and yard could have been tidier and more inviting/comfortable. As someone that loves to enjoy a cup of coffee on a good old covered porch.
Additionally, the description mentioned being right in the heart of restaurants. Rather you have to walk a solid 20 minutes to get to the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. This making a bit difficult if you wanted to dress up and wander to dinner.
Highly recommend anyone staying in the area to eat at The Rabbit Hole, it was phenomenal.
All in all, it was great.
Thanks, Chris
With 5 adults and 2 toddlers, this home suited us perfectly. The beds were comfortable, plenty of closet space, lots of hooks EVERYWHERE to hang towels & clothes. There is a library on the first floor that we were able to corral the kids there and use as a playroom. The owners have gobs of books for all ages, lots of toys, and many things that made OUR life easier. Because the owner KNEW we were coming with young kids, he had the highchair, booster seat, and pack n play all ready for us at check in. The kitchen had loads of storage space for OUR food, and it was easily the gathering place for our group, and it was equipped with EVERTHING. Lastly, the backyard has several sitting areas, with two of those areas lit by several strands of lights. We gathered there for our late night drinks as we recapped the days events, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area! The owner Chris communicated with us within an hour, and he was very responsive to helping us out, when we had a question. We loved our stay and would HIGHLY recommend the Queen Anne!
I am a native to Colorado Springs and my wife Dawn has been in the Springs since she was 3. We enjoy the outdoors and love to camp.
Why they chose this property
My wife and I purchased this property in 2009. We have 4 children and the house was a perfect size for us. The neighborhood is great. We miss just walking downtown for a meal and ice cream, but are happy our guests can enjoy that when they stay.
What makes this property unique
The property was built in 1890. It still has the original woodwork, windows, flooring, and most of the original plaster walls. The original boiler was still heating the house but we installed a new, more efficient boiler, and kept the original in the back yard as our fire pit.
