Kayaks available. Fish from the dock or bring you boat. Or simply relax in the new screens patio to enjoy Florida weather and birds.
Whether you're dreaming of kicking up your feet to watch manatees and birds or if you're feeling adventurous, your group can be comfortable in this vacation home. This spacious home is located on a saltwater canal that leads out to Gulf of Mexico. It is located in the Gulf Harbor neighborhood of New Port Richey. Entrance to the neighborhood is by Sea Fire restaurant. Golf carts cruise the neighborhood and there are many local events in this area that help visitors feel welcome. The home was recently updated in many ways and we're happy to host guests now.
Spacious home fit for salt life. A screened porch overlooks the canal and can be accessed from the living room. On the opposite side of the living room is a queen bedroom that also has a full water view. Open concept allows families to be comfortable for a long weekend or a seasonal getaway. A cozy sitting area is just off the kitchen and dining room for enjoying a morning coffee. There is a nook off the dining room that has a small secretary desk if you would like a place to setup your laptop. Next to the kitchen is a bathroom with shower. The other bathroom has a full bathtub and is in the main hallway next to the other two bedrooms. In total, there are 2 queen beds and 1 king sized bed. There is a TV in the living room and 2 of the bedrooms. The dining room is at the front of the house. Spectrum cable and wifi are available.
Our floating dock is suitable for launching kayaks (we provide 2 with life jackets) and docking your boat. If you'd like to bring your boat, there are local boat launches and you may tie up at our dock. Public launches not too far. You may park the boat trailer in our driveway but no parking on the street. No swimming or diving is allowed in the canal. To reach the gulf from our dock, you'll need to cross under the Floramar bridge. Clearance is 6ft at normal high tide and 10 and normal low, but remember to keep an eye on tide charts since the gulf will dictate if tides have a bigger swing on specific dates. Most pontoons, fishing boats, and skiffs are fine as long as they don’t have a tall center console. The single car garage is a bit antique. It is connected to the house with access through the laundry area but is manual operation only so I suspect most guests will park in the driveway. Sunwest Golf Carts will deliver to the house if you'd like to rent a club car to cruise around in (approx $100/wk - call them for details though).
For those who may have visited the Gulf harbors neighborhood in the past, please note there is security at the private neighborhood beach which only allows owners and longer-term guests. If you're booking an extended visit, we can help you with this but it's not meant for the weekly visitors. Public beach access is available about 10 minutes away though. We provide 6 beach towels for your convenience.
Many waterfront restaurants in the area. Downtown New Port Richey is a fun place to window shop and explore dining options as well. Scallop season is popular in this area if you'd like to rent a boat or go out with a tour group. Fishing is accessible right off our dock and licenses are available online.
Wifi login is located on the back of the router, which is located in the garage. Well-mannered dogs and cats must be approved at booking, $150 each, limit 2.
