We chose this property because of the ratings in 2023 which were 8.8. We knew it was a work in progress. We were surprised and disappointed with the interior and exterior of the house. The property was totally misrepresented. It clearly has not been kept up or well maintained. The exterior and yard were unkept with a trash bucket other items in and around the yard. We were unable to sit outside, due to outside furniture not being clean. The interior had other things that were frustrating during our stay Fortunately the weather was beautiful and we were off hiking and cycling all 3 days and had dinner out. John Scott was very nice but honestly is this house really ready to rent on VRBO?
The property is what I would call “ a work in progress” , and what I mean by this is that it seems to be undergoing minor/major repairs but none of that impaired a safe and satisfactory stay. At least ten of us were looking for a place within reach of Tanglewood’s music center and this property happened to
meet that requirement plus it had more than enough space to accommodate all of us. Kitchen was fully equipped , comfortable, and the host was super attentive. Lots of parking space was a plus, also 2 1/2 bathrooms helped. The fee was very reasonable and yes in spite of the “no frills” I certainly recommend a stay !!
The host and location made our stay in this sprawling older home comfortable. A good part of the home is very much a work in progress, but the owner has renovated sufficient space to make comfortable quarters for our party of 4 adults and one 2-1/2 year old to sleep, eat, and bathe. The kitchen is of good size and well equipped. Highly recommend contacting the most gracious owner concerning your needs and expectations, and if the property meets your needs, considering a stay.
Older home that is a work in progress regarding amenities and furnishings, as expected. Had a very pleasant stay with a number of unrelated friends as we enjoyed a show at nearby(ish) Tanglewood. Made use of full kitchen to make meals. Would happily stay again. Owner was friendly and accommodating.
My Construction team enjoys staying at VRBO properties having the convenience of a full kitchen, private bedrooms & multiple common areas to relax and watch TV, in along with having an in house washer & dryer, is so beneficial to our team during longer projects. Our team stayed here for 5 weeks & were pleased with having 2 common area's, a large kitchen, dinning area, very large 2nd floor bedroom area along with 2 1/2 baths. This property is was very close to our jobsite yet, in a very private secluded area. Truly the best part of this rental was our host Akeim who made sure anything we needed was taken care of, every Saturday he had a cleaning crew come in to the property clean everything change and wash bedding & towels, he even came every Wednesday evening to take the trash out to the curb. The property was clean & comfortable even though it was still in the process of being updated. I would definitely stay here again if my travels ever came back to Pittsfield.
