The floors are not study you walk in some of the rooms and you can fall through.More utensils can be added in the kitchen, some of the bedroom drawers had stuff in them
The house is charming from a photo but needs some needed updates to the moldy bathrooms, kitchen, and “game room”. I am familiar with houses of this age but this is one that lacks attention starting with the overgrown landscaping and dirty pitches.
It's an old house and is not level, like the whole foundation has made the house unlevel on the inside. Doors don't shut correctly. It was plenty big and close enough to many bars and restaurants. Some things need updating. Main shower for example. Again, it did the job and we had a great family trip.
Our stay here exceeded all expectations. The charm of the architecture seamlessly blended with modern comforts, creating a unique and memorable experience. The well-preserved rooms, and the rich history embedded in every corner made our stay truly exceptional. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a delightful blend of the past and present.
This is our second time renting this house! We love the location and convenience to downtown MHC and the waterfront. Everything is within walking distance. This house has a lot of character and is very comfortable for larger groups! We will definitely be coming back!
This house is in a great location to downtown MHC and it was so nice to be able to walk to and from the waterfront. The house was very clean, great condition, and plenty of room for all our friends and family! Thank you!
Quaint and roomy, this historic house has a cool lean, sticking doors, an awesome porch and tons of room. A quick 5-10 minute walk to many food and beverage options, this place was perfect for a 2 day business trip
My daughter, grandsons, and I enjoyed our weekend stay in this lovely home. My seventeen year old grandson told me this home is a favorite among the places we’ve stayed. At times we could not even coax my youngest grandson (age 12) out of the house. He felt it was his personal playground—bunk beds, swinging seat in the large playroom, putter ball! My daughter loved the character, and I took a ride down memory lane! The location put us close to Beaufort, Fort Macon, and iconic places like EL’s Drive-in, Sanitary Fish Market, and Oceana Pier! Our thanks to the graciousness of our wonderful hosts, the Poole Family, for sharing their lovely home with us as we honored the memory of my husband and created new memories!!
