Beautiful spot and nice bathroom

Property was as advertised. The view from the cabin was very nice, overlooking the lake and out to the mountains. The bathroom was particularly nice, with a rain shower and copper sink. Overall great stay.

Amazing place

I'm so glad I found this place. It was such an enjoyable place to stay. The place is so cute, and it was so nice to set on pouch and look at the lake. You are off the main road so the cabin so very quiet. It was located in a great area so was short drive to town and centrally located for our other activities that we had planned; I would highly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful stay in Soldotna!

This place is so beautiful and peaceful! The cabin is overlooking the lake, so you get the best place to sit and drink coffee in the morning. We loved the sun room for evening relaxation. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Elaina and Ted are the sweetest hosts. We’ll be back in the future for a longer stay!

Peacefully perfect

We can’t say enough great things about our stay at this beautiful cabin! It was so quiet and comfortable! It was very well stocked with everything we needed. The views are amazing! We watched loons on the lake, as well as a little family of cranes. We had a young bull moose walk right by the window one morning and a mamma moose and her twins were passing by when we drove up to the cabin one evening!! Alaina and Ted are great people and we wish we would have stayed there longer! We can’t wait to go back!

Alaska wilderness vacation

We found this lake and Mountain View cabin and were thrilled. Very comfortable and well appointed; we had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and the most comfortable sofa lounger for watching TV after a full day of fishing. We were greeted home every evening by a mother moose and her two calves crossing the road to the house. Lots of birds to watch out the picture window and host provided the binoculars as one example of the small details that make your stay more enjoyable.

Hidden Gem

We wanted quiet and we got it. Perfect cabin for our stay. We got to watch momma and baby moose swim the lake as well as watch another female eat the vegetation in the front of the cabin. The property was central to all our activities. West fron Homer for a fishing trip to the east in Coopers Landing where we enjoyed a River float down Kenai and farther east at Prince William Sound to see the glaciers. Thank you Elaina and Ted

Beautiful setting and charming cabin

My husband and I were very comfortable in the cabin. We had everything we needed and the separate sunroom gave us plenty of space to stretch out and read a good book or watch a movie. We saw a Moose cow and her two calfs right on the property! Our hosts Elaina and Ted could not have been more gracious and helpful and also gave us our privacy. Great place to unwind and also close to Kenai National Wildlife Preserve with hiking paths and lots of Moose! Highly recommend. Thank you Elaina and Ted!

What a find!

This was our last stop in a tour of the Kenai peninsula, and it turned out to be our best. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed, with a picture window facing the lake that says it all. It was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our hosts, Ted and Elaina were great fun, and very helpful with setting up fishing trips, hiking trails and other activities in the area. My husband and I both agreed this was a true Alaskan experience, complete with our own moose, and we didn't want to leave. Thanks again, we hope we can return one day.

Most Amazing Alaska Experience!!!

How do you describe the PERFECT Alaska getaway?? We have been to Alaska many times, and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed! The cabin is totally new, has everything you need and situated on a pristine private lake that affords an amazing view and totally secluded and quiet location. Other than the cabin's amazing hosts - Ted and Elaina - we only saw/heard loons and moose! There is absolutely no human noise - no other people, cars, etc. The cabin is surrounded by trees and Alaska critters, yet easy access to Soldotna and the best fishing we've ever experienced on the Kenai and surrounding rivers and lakes of the Kenai Peninsula. Ted and Elaina were the best hosts we have ever stayed with. They offer a weath of information about local hiking, fishing, and things to do, while at the same time allowing guests total privacy and freedom to enjoy the property. We will make this a permanent stay on our annual fishing trip and can't wait until next year!!!

dream cabin!

I would recommend this cabin to anybody looking for an accommodation in the area of the Kenai peninsula. The living spaces are good even for a long stay, because of the comfortable spaces. The cabin is very confortable for up to 4 people. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an additional basin, a kitchen small but well equipped, and a separate living room. There is also a large porch with barbeque, that we used for the salmons we fished. The location is central, being within reasonable drive distance from both Homer and Seward, and just minutes away from the wanderful Kenai river, so good for fishing, hikes, mushroom gathering. The best feature is the view of the lake, through wide windows in the kitchen and living area, where in the sunny days you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Wildlife is often passing through, even if we saw only a moose on one morning and almost saw caribous on one evening. Ted and Elaina are wonderful hosts, and spoiled us throughout our stay, with tastes of local fish and game and even organizing a fishing trip on the river. So, in conclusion, if we ever will come back to Alaska, we surely stay agan at this place.

Absolutely fabulous Alaska vacation!!

We have been doing VRBO for 15 yrs. We own/manage and DO VRBO as our primary income. This trip could not have been any better! The cabin is great! The cabin is beautifully done, has everything you need, and it is clean (and, yes, I am a critic!). The views are spectacular and the local wildlife is an absolute bonus! We saw caribou on numerous occasions, moose, loons, eagles - we loved it! The views to the lake and the mountains (if it's clear) are amazing! We were here for 3 weeks. The first week of our trip, our son was with us. After he returned to college, it was just the 2 of us. The cabin was perfect for us. The extra special bonus is Ted and Elaina. We have rented from a lot of folks over the years and have never met more wonderful hosts! They are an absolute wealth of information! Anything you want or need - they can definitely help you out! This was a long trip and we felt like we really got to know these guys. You will not find more genuine, generous hosts. They love where they live and they are happy to share it with you. They make you feel like family. Want to show up and be left alone - they will not invade your space. However, we enjoyed the interaction and loved visiting with them. We have never had a more wonderful experience! We WILL be back next fall and cannot wait to stay with Ted and Elaina again! Thank you both for making this such a wonderful trip for our family!

Alaska Dream

Well, you never know what you’re going to get when you rent a property 3000 miles away. This little cabin did NOT disappoint. It was five stars all around. From the owners who make you feel right at home. To the view of the lake and the mountains out your back door. To the cozy and clean cabin and its detached family room. Everything was just perfect. I would definitely go there again. And I would highly recommend it to others. Thanks for a great week!

Awesome Location

Elaina was fantastic during our stay. She was quick to respond to any questions we had of the area and offered suggestions of places to go. The house was in a great location with scenic views that never got old, and we even saw a moose! It was very clean and well stocked. I would definitely come back if in the Soldotna area.
