Charming West Sound studio apartment with beach access!

A charming second floor studio apartment in beautiful West Sound at the base of Turtleback Mountain. Enjoy fabulous water views from your private deck.
West Sound's public beach & county dock, are just across the street.
Stairs to the beach make for easy launching of kayaks and other water sports.

The studio features a very comfortable queen bed, crisp clean linens and fluffy pillows for a great night sleep.
Bathroom with a full tub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash provided.
32" flat screen with satellite TV.
There is a love seat for relaxation, watching TV, or just reading a book in front of the gas fireplace.
Sliding glass doors lead to the private deck for taking in the spectacular view!
The kitchenette is stocked with a small fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (including a great selection of coffee & tea), toaster, dishes and glassware.
Our dining table seats 4.
(PLEASE NOTE, THERE ARE NO POTS and PANS OR COOKING UTENSILS PROVIDED!! COOKING IS NOT PERMITTED!)
There is a microwave for heating meals.

The Crow's Nest is located only 5 minutes from the Orcas ferry landing and 10 minutes to the village of Eastsound. Kenmore Air flies from Seattle to West Sound several times a day by float plane from Lake Union or land plane to the Eastsound airport from Boeing Field.
If you need a rental car, Orcas Island Shuttle and orcascars.com has cars and mini vans.

Moran State Park has 5 beautiful lakes and 35 miles of trails for hiking and biking.
While in the park, don't miss the summit of Mt. Constitution. Climb the tower for endless views at 2409'.
Turtleback Mountain. is literally in your backyard for another incredible hike.

There are many great dining options on Orcas Island. We would be happy to help with recommendations and reservations.

You can find rentals for sea kayaks, mountain bikes, and even mopeds for further adventures.

R&R at the Crow's Nest
Thank you for the opportunity to stay at this delightful getaway spot. Loved the room set up, the small kitchenette and the VIEW. Spent time on the deck in between rain showers, coming back in to warm up by the cozy fireplace. I also walked across the street to the community dock and easy access to the beach. What a perfect space to rest and relax!

We seamlessly booked the stay on VRBO and the property lived up to its billing. Communications with the owners were quickly responded to and we wereoffered early checkin without asking. Great Stay in West Sound
Loved this beautiful spot above the marina. It had all the necessary essentials for a lovely solo trip. The porch was the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen and bath were perfect for my needs. As others have mentioned, the kitchen has just the essentials, including a mini-fridge. Plan to eat out at many of the wonderful spots on the island!

Love the Crows Nest
Trina is the perfect host and the Crows Nest was a delightful apartment. Had everything we needed and location was the best. We got to watch sailboat races in the evening from the balcony. Would definitely book again on my next trip to Orcas Island

Cozy place, incredible view
Crow's nest is a lovely spot for a person or couple who can make other eating arrangements, as there are limited cooking facilities. We visit friends in West Sound who have limited space, but a great kitchen. And at Crows Nest, we wake up to see sunrise over West Sound, we watch the birds and the ducks and the occasional harbor seal. What a treat!

Orcas cozy place
I appreciate the owner's thoughtful touches - check in (she let us come in a bit early) and check out were very easy. The place is comfy with a lovely view of Westsound, but it is on a main road so can be noisy. The kitchenette could use updating - we didn't realize until a couple of days before that there is no cookware, although there are two burners. It would have been nice to cook some eggs, since going out to breakfast is 10-15 minute drive. We made it work. She was a terrific communicator and answered questions quickly -

Overpriced
The inside of the property was as pictured. Cute, clean, cozy. And as long as you don't want to cook, it works just fine. The outside of the building could use some TLC. But know that this property is on the intersection of two main roads. You can see the road a little bit in one of the pictures. This made it not peacful at all to sit on the private deck. Unless you enjoy listening to cars, trucks and motorcycles drive by. And it starts early in the morning. We are light sleepers so it also affected our ability to sleep. If you sleep deeply, then no problem! There is also a commercial property underneath. We also heard them at 7:00 in the morning. But again, only an issue if you sleep lightly. Not remotely worth the money.

Great little place
Great little place, perfect for two. Great views of the marina. Cozy and comfy living quarters. A nice little kitchenette, although they don’t want you doing any cooking here. There’s a staircase that leads to the beach. Not very long, but still a nice treat to walk along. And we saw sea otters that seem to live close by. Location is close to Deer Harbor where there are a couple eating places, otherwise you have to drive 20 minutes to Eastsound Village. Lovely time here!

Beautiful location close to many things
A quiet spot on the water but close to East Sound and Deer Harbor , great hiking on saddle back mountain, and nice bike routes. The host was very accommodating.

Great stay! Very friendly and helpful hosts. We had E bikes and were able to meet friends at different harbors for boat pick up. The Kingfish Restaurant next door was amazing. The closest places for breakfast or coffee is a 15 min bike ride so something to plan for.

Excellent value. Convenient location. All the basics. Very responsive owner. Be sure to eat at the Kingfish Restaurant that is next door. Better than any other restaurant we went to on Orcas, with great food, excellent service and great ambiance.
