A tranquil waterfront escape with breathtaking sunset views and a private pier

Slow down and experience ‘Knot So Fast’ in Fairhope! Turn on your vacation mood in our tranquil home as you soak in the sound of nature and feel the stress melt away. Get ready to be pampered by this private retreat on the water as you enjoy the sound of nature and breathtaking views of sunsets from the porch swing bed. You will have the property all to yourself, including the use of our brand new pier. You might get lucky and experience a JUBILEE!

The house has an open floor plan with 4 roomy bedrooms and attached bathrooms that can accommodate 10 guests comfortably (8 adults and 2 children). There are two bedrooms on the highest floor with one queen bed in each room. The other two bedrooms are on the main floor, one with a queen bed and the other with ONE bunk bed.

Guests will have access to the entire property except the owner’s storage room on the highest floor will be locked and are not open to guests.

Our boat stays on the boat lift permanently. There may be times where we may take the boat out and will be parking our vehicle underneath the house during that time. We will not be accessing the interior of the house when it's occupied by guests. Most of our activities will be to load/unload the boat and will be limited to the pier house and to /from the vehicle. We will communicate with all guests in advance to coordinate arrival and departure time so there will be no surprises.

Retirement Kick-Off
My husband and I retired the week before arriving at Knot So Fast. Leaving our careers and business was emotional, but a month-long stay at Knot So Fast was our PERFECT transition. Every sunset was spent on the dock, every morning kayaking or boating on the bay. Amazing memories were made with family and friends. Thank you to our hosts and property owners for sharing this home with us. We can't wait to do it again!

Everything you need for a relaxing week on the bay with family. Great fishing off the dock, close to town and you can even get Target delivery if you forget something and need to restock.

An awesome home on Mobile Bay
We all thought the home was in a great location with a beautiful pier to fish or crab or just sit and enjoy the water and sunsets. The home is furnished well, beds very comfortable, great outdoor screened in porch off of the kitchen/dining room/living room with great views of the bay. The owners were awesome. Responded to every question we had before we arrived and after. They even put a crab trap out with bait before we arrived. Had a great experience. Thanks to the owners!!!

This is a beautiful home. I was impressed that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. This home had a very nice beachy decor, all the annementies you could possblibly need, a large sceened-in porch and a wonderful pier. The owner was very pleasant and kept in touch. We have rented bay houses for 14 of the past 18 years and this had been by far one of the nicest homes! We all had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful Sunsets
Beautiful home on the bay. We really enjoyed the sunsets from the pier. The host family was wonderful--responsive, hospitable, and available. Many wonderful amenities including soap, shampoo, and coffee! We hope to return soon.

Perfection
We had three couples and all needed relaxation and beautiful sunsets. This was the perfect home. They had thought of absolutely everything and even more. There were even blue crabs in the traps off dock for our culinary enjoyment. Could not have asked for more.

This house is beautiful! Right on the bay with an amazing dock. Saw dolphins and tons of fish. Property is clean and beds were very comfortable. Our group was 5 women and we had plenty of space! Would definitely stay here again!

Lov!ely
Relaxing, comfortable and private. There are empty lots on both sides making the property more private than expected. We were 3 couples over the age of 60. Loved that 3 of the 4 bedrooms had their own full bathrooms. Huge plus! There was also a fourth bedroom and yet another bathroom off the kitchen. Must be able to climb stairs to get in which was not a problem for us but people should be aware. The screened in porch was definately the hangout! Plenty of comfy chairs as well as a swing. Our hostess was great, she kept in touch without being overly involved. A lovely home, thanks for sharing it with us.

We are honored and excited to share our bay home with you and your family. My husband is a Fairhope native, and he grew up in a small house along County Rd 1 with his parents. As a child, he had always enjoyed fishing, crabbing, shrimping, harvesting oysters in the afternoons after school and made many wonderful childhood memories. Some of the best memories were waking up to ‘jubilees’ (caused primarily by the upward movement of oxygen-poor bottom waters, forcing bottom dwelling fish and crustaceans ashore) by in the middle of the night and fill up buckets after buckets with fish, crabs, and shrimp to share with everyone. We hope to share this unique bay life with our children and with guests from all over, near or far.

You will find plenty of space for the whole family to just kick back and spread out. There should be plenty to do within the property (kayaking, fishing, crabbing, sun bathing, moon & stars gazing, sunset watching, bicycling, play a game of corn hole or two, grill out, laze on the hammock) or take a short 15 mins drive to the famous downtown Fairhope to enjoy extraordinary dining experience, spa and local shopping (not the usual big chain stores).

All of the 4 bedrooms have attached bathrooms and smart TVs.
To ensure that you get settled in and have a great stay with us, we provide a ‘starter pack’ which has an initial supply of laundry pods, dishwasher pods, coffee pods, toilet paper, paper towels and basic toiletries. However, these may not be enough for your entire stay, and you may need to purchase additional supplies.
