Our goal is that you have a great time enjoying this fashionably furnished cottage, a place to hang your beach hat and call home for a while, we want you to know all that Vero Beach has to offer. Nostalgic Vero Beach has so much history due to its Citrus Legacy starting from the late 1800's known for the famous Indian River Orchards.

Your comfortable cottage is only 9 minutes drive from beautiful South Beach and its natural serenity. Whether you want to walk through the mangroves that open to an unspoiled natural South Beach or want to visit other beaches, they are all unique and have something different to offer.
Surf/Shore Fishing Round Island Beach Park This park is located on the Atlantic side of South Beach, which is a thin island right off the coast of Vero Beach. The best fishing can be found at Indian River Lagoon, it's the body of water wedged between the barrier islands of Florida’s eastern coast and its mainland.

Our stay in Vero

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Clean, plentiful amenities (towels, toiletries,etc.) Outdoor screened in porch was great; able to relax, not rush anywhere, and even watch a movie on TV. Gentlemen and his son that occupied other side of house couldn't be any nicer or genuine. Thanks to Wendy for helping to make our first VRBO rental a seemless one. See you again. John & Toni G

Upon our arrival at the designated check-in time (4:00 p.m.), we entered the property only to determine that there was no power. We contacted the Host through the message option on the VRBO app and called the Host (no answer, so left a text as instructed on the voice mail). The power issue was an easy fix, but the Host didn’t respond for 45 minutes (through VRBO messaging) and it took 10 more minutes of “messaging” for the Host to tell us about a breaker box in the back of the house. After an hour, the Host finally called and spoke to us directly. The Host seemed annoyed that we were upset about not hearing from her sooner. Our idea of a responsive, responsible host is obviously different. For the next 3 days, we had no issues (thankfully). Then there was the rat incident… At 11:00 p.m. as we were settling in for the night, we observed a rat (again, not a mouse) sitting on top of a decorative pillow that we’d propped up against a dresser. It was less than 2 feet from our bed! Needless to say, we packed up in record time and fortunately found a hotel to stay at for the night. Again, we immediately sent a VRBO message and a text to the Host. As of the posting of this review, we have not heard a word from the Host… Nothing, nada, zip… The Host has had our money since November 2022, so there’s no incentive for her to contact us. We are working with the VRBO Support Team for some sort of resolution, but the Host doesn’t even respond to communications from VRBO. Not sure how this Host was labelled a “Premier Host” with no reviews, but it’s not a skill set that this Host has mastered. Labeling this host as a “Premier Host” is a misnomer. In summary, we recommend finding another property in Vero Beach for your stay. This property is not worth the trouble – unless of course, you’re fond of rats and don’t need a responsive host.
