This property was the best location for our family. We have been meeting at Keowee Lake in September for several years. We all decided this was the best location and property so far that we have rented. The views location of the boat ramp and layout of the house were great.
We had a great time! The location is great. Awesome lake view. Close to the boat ramp if you bring your boat and/or jet ski. Everyone enjoyed kayaks, floats, and paddle boards available on the property.
We did not realize Bedroom 1 with a double futon and a twin bed were in the separate apartment on the lower level - not a deal breaker, but we normally try to avoid that.
We enjoyed the property and all the outdoor spaces. The location was nice and peaceful. I having access to their kayaks, floats, and stand up paddle boards really enhanced our experience.
Thanks Tyler for your hospitality! My family had a great time! The cabin met all our needs. The location was an absolute gem. We would not hesitate to go back again next summer! Thanks again!
It rained the whole time we were at the property, so we spent way more time inside than we would have and consequently paid way more attention to the house then we normally would have.
The good: the house is cute and has been decently renovated. The dock and outdoor areas were great. It is right next to a public boat ramp. It's in a quite cove and Keowee is a very nice lake with clean water.
The so-so: it is remote. there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby (like, 20 min away). The cabin is small. No sharp knives, and missing a few other key kitchen-ware that is necessary when you can't go out to eat or grill. The driveway is a little tight and no room to turn around a boat trailer.
The not-so-great: the bottom level apt is only accessible from outside and smells bad (we didn't use it at all). The "master bedroom" is a loft that is open to the living room and the A/C unit is very loud.
If it hadn't rained the whole time we probably would have spent most of our time outside and may have been gushing with praise. The property had potential.
