Tucked into the woods of Winhall on the edge of Green Mountain National Forest, this light-filled home makes the perfect base for year-round recreation. In this serene forest setting, you'll have easy access to some of Southern Vermont's loveliest landscapes, including Stratton Mountain Resort (five miles), Bromley Mountain Ski Resort (eight miles), and Okemo Mountain Resort (25 miles).

Whether your plans involve skiing, golfing, or leaf-peeping in autumn, this home places you right in the thick of it. Play a morning round at the Stratton Mountain Golf Course and spend a summer afternoon barbecuing on the gas grill, relaxing in rocking chairs on the deck, and admiring the woodland view.

Inside, the multi-level floor plan brings the main living space upstairs, offering lofty ceilings, plentiful windows, and a smart TV to stream movies as you toast your toes by the fireplace. Elevated just above the living room are a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area with space for the whole family. An electric car hook-up is available on the property, as well as a beautiful pond area, which makes for the perfect area to walk and play.

In the evenings, leave the day's snowy clothes to spin in the washer/dryer, use the complimentary WiFi to track the mountain report, or simply escape to the den downstairs to watch a movie. Of the four bedrooms, one is upstairs and three - including a great kids' room with built-in bunks - are downstairs.

Great Location, but skip this one
The location was great- 5 minutes from Stratton. Bring your own toilet paper, and plunger. The beds in the bunk room were rock hard, and there were dirty dishes in the cabinet and soiled sheets put away in the closet. The listing noted an EV charger, but when we checked in, we were informed that it wasn't part of the amenities. Neither, apparently, was enough toilet paper for 24 hours. I don't mind a ski house that is a little rough around the edges, but this location was not only way overpriced, it was unclean and uncomfortable.

Close to Stratton and pet-friendly!
Overall was spacious and close to Stratton. The place was not clean upon arrival and checked in after 4pm. Upon entering, there were trash bags full of garbage and recyclables. I sent pictures to Vacasa and received reply back that they will inform team. The trash bags were there the entire stay so it smelled bad every time we left or entered house. Also, the washer had dirty laundry so we ran it and did laundry. The dryer was full with laundry as well. I sent pictures but no response. Beds were not made and missing sheets so concerned about the cleaning fee charge. The internet instructions were incorrect and need to be updated. Also the directions to place, the map had different address as a default. Other than that, overall place was spacious, retro kitchen, close to skiing, and pet friendly! The bonus was the gate! We brought one and was helpful to have one already at place. Also close to places to get food or last minute items, River Road Pizza and 7-Eleven which was 3 minutes drive!

Spacious exactly what we were looking for
We decided to take a ski trip, spur of the moment with 7 of our old college buddies and loved the house. The house has a retro vibe with spacious rooms, we particularly liked the bunk room. We skied the week, house is 5 min drive from the mountain and loved coming back to the house and starting a fire. House was clean and had a nice homey feel. We were able to make dinner every night with the numerous cooking items available including a spice rack and just enjoy each others company which is becoming harder and harder to do. We will definitely be staying here again.

Has some ants. We didn’t bring any food in. I understand that this is ant season but needs some traps
