New Years 2024
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The properties decor was amazing! Cabins as well as kitchen/common area had very limited spaces, main room was really nice but sheets were dirty and heaters from patio couldn’t be turned on. Hot water from one of the showers did not work at all and was never fixed. Overall we had a good experience, but could of been much better.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family booked a winter stay at Slippery Rock River Ranch and were very pleased with the accommodations. The main house has everything we could need for our stay and a fun place to gather for meals and hanging out. Each cabin was comfortable and quiet, a nice respite from the group dynamics. We can't wait to come back in summer and enjoy this lovely property!

Heavenly
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A magical riverside retreat for quality time with friends and family! We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Slippery Rock Ranch twice, in both winter and summer, and it has so much to offer in any season. On our recent winter visit, we enjoyed the cozy indoor spaces, the hot tub, cooking big meals in the perfectly-appointed kitchen, and of course easy access to our favorite ski mountain Telluride. The offerings in summer are even more numerous—fabulous fly fishing on the property, river play, indoor/outdoor living and many meals on the deck, as well as great trails for hiking and mountain biking nearby (two of our favorites are Priest Gulch & Bear Creek). Basically, there’s something for everyone. Our large, multi-generational group enjoyed retreating to our own cabins (so nice to have your own space) and then converging at the main cabin for family meals and games. We hope to return soon!

Serenity Now!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ideal spot for a family reunion or other big event where you want a place where everyone can come together for meals or meetings, but also separate private sleeping cabins so you are not together ALL of the time. The decor is gorgeous and the setting is truly serene. I have total kitchen envy... Two fridges, two dishwashers and a pantry that is the size of the whole rest of the kitchen. Close to all sorts of outdoor activities (snowshoeing, xcountry skiing, fishing on a private stretch of river, hiking, and mountain biking), but also perfect if you just want to sit on a comfy chair amongst nature and read. It is 20 minutes away from the closest store, so it's a good plan to bring all the food, etc. you need for your stay.

Perfect resort style home for guests
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This secluded retreat nestled in a Southwest Colorado River valley is ideal for reunions with family and friends. The resort home is private and incredibly inviting to cook amazing meals in the main lodge building while other guests can play games, enjoy the hot tub, fish along the river or retreat to their own cabin to curl up with a good book. The design and layout of the ranch with individual cabins and separate common areas is appreciated by every age group, providing the perfect balance of individual and community space. Every building is inviting with beautiful decor and an attention to detail and aesthetic that makes you want to wake up early to enjoy a cup of tea as the sun rises or sit outside on one of the porch swings with a cocktail and savor the days last light. We enjoyed every minute of our time at Slippery Rock River Ranch and look forward to returning soon.

Perfect for Corporate Retreats
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this gorgeous estate property for a corporate retreat, and it is truly one-of-a-kind! The space is perfectly laid out for a group of our size, and function. There's a main lodge for meals, meetings, and evening socializing, while the individual cabins provide everyone in the party with their own private space. The location is optimal, with easy access to Telluride, Rico, and Dolores. Several of our group members were avid fly fishers -- they enjoyed early morning and evening fishing on the Dolores River which meanders through the property. Private river access is hard to find, especially in this setting! This property is the perfect getaway for business or pleasure, and it would be lovely all year around. We can't wait to go back!

Modern Mountain Retreat
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has stayed at Slippery Rock Ranch multiple times--it is a favorite mountain retreat due to location close to hiking and river as well as beautifully designed accommodations. There is a central house designed for large groups with indoor and outdoor seating and a state of the art kitchen for meal preparation. The property also has individual cabins for sleeping with comfortable seating areas when guests and family desire relaxation/reading time alone. There are plenty of beautiful trails for mountain biking and hiking--some within walking distance! There is also a natural hot springs in Rico if desired for an after sports soak. It is comfortable to say here all seasons and is an hour to Telluride for skiing if desired. Many cross country skiing options are even closer near Priest Lake and at Lizard Head Pass! The property has perfect access to the river for fly fishing as well. Don't hesitate to reserve this property!

The spectacular Slippery Rock River Ranch
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wow, this place really surpassed our expectations. From the first step in the door, the serenity and beauty of this location was amazing. The lodge and cabins were beautifully decorated with high attention to detail. The cabins and beds were comfortable. Everything was so well done, and it was wonderful place to hang out with family. We came here to get away from it all with our family of 5 and it was nice to be able to spread out, have some space, but also enjoy the beautiful mountains nearby. We spent a day in Telluride, we did awesome mountain biking in Dolores at Boggy Draw, the river was beautiful, and the location was just what we were looking for. It is a secluded property so you should prepare accordingly with groceries and supplies, but once you get there, it is wonderful retreat and a great place to unwind. The glamping tents were also fun to hang out in and enjoy the river and running water so close. Kathleen Myers, Portland, OR

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a hidden gem in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado that is just spectacular. We rented the ranch with another family, we each have 3 kids, and it was perfect for all of us. The adults had their own cabins which were so charming and comfortable. Our kids stayed in the larger cabin with multiple beds and space for hanging out and games. A few of the older kids stayed in the glamping tents right on the river and they had a wonderfully memorable experience that you just can’t replicate in other locations. This was a perfect location to get away in a quiet area for family and friend time. We did lots of exploring on the trails nearby, played horseshoes and corn hole, had some wonderful meals on the back deck, and hung out on the river. Amazing property. Great find. Nice get away.

Slippery Rock River Ranch in Colorado
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the ranch with three adult couples all who love the outdoors as my wife and I do. We are from all over the country so we were looking for a place in Colorado where we could meet, have easy access to trails for hiking and biking and be able to do some fishing in clear rivers and streams. We were all eager to find a hideaway where we could get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The Slippery Rock River Ranch turned out to be the ideal location! The cabins were well appointed and comfortable and offered each couple to have their own space and privacy. The main lodge and outdoor dining deck was perfect for gathering and meals. We enjoyed dinners on the back deck while taking in the scenic beauty of the location. The outdoor fireplace and heat lamps added to the comfort and ambiance of the evenings. The main lodge was well stocked which was very helpful given that the location is between Rico and Dolores. Keep that in mind as you plan which supplies and groceries to bring along. We had easy access to hiking trails close to the ranch: one right across the street and another a half mile down the road. We had good luck fishing the river in the backyard and went on two guided fishing trips close to the range. The ranch is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and forests. The cabins and lodge are furnished beautifully with careful attention to detail. The glamming tents on the river looked amazing too. Next time we will spend at least one night on the river in the tests. We highly recommend this vacation hideaway! We will be back!Jim Perkin, Surprise AZ

Perfect location for a family gathering
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at the Slippery Rock River Ranch. Words can't begin to describe how beautiful and magical this place is. From the towering pines to the mountain vistas, this place had it all. Plus, the accommodations for our family were perfect! Everyone appreciated their own space, and yet we could all connect in the "main house" for meals, games, and "hanging out". From young to old, we all enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! I cannot recommend it highly enough!
