About this property
Cozy Historic Bungalow Near DT & RiNo- New listing
Make this historic bungalow your home away from home. Built in 1892 and recently updated, it's located in the city's first neighborhood of Curtis Park and within walking distance of the River North Arts District which has been rated as one of the best locations to stay in Denver. From here you can enjoy RiNo's superb restaurants and breweries, music venues, eclectic shopping and art galleries. Please note there is a 30 day minimum stay.
This new listing is centrally located close to downtown and many popular areas of Denver, including RiNo, Five Points, LoDo, Coors Field, Union Station, the Denver Center for Performing Arts, the Denver Convention Center and City Park. It is also 1/2 mile from the closest A-Line station to the airport and within 2 miles of three major hospitals. This immaculately clean, 900 square foot bungalow is equipped with high-speed internet, a 55-inch smart TV and in-ceiling Blue Tooth speaker. There is a ductless mini-split air conditioner which keeps the house nice and cool and there are also ceiling fans in the living room and both bedrooms. There is a foldable desk and chair available that can be set up as a dedicated workspace wherever convenient.
Pet Policy: We allow one small dog (less than 35 lbs) if it meets our criteria. Please message us with specifics re: type, size and age and see house rules regarding pets. There is a $100 pet fee to cover additional cleaning that will be required.
Kitchen – Fully equipped with granite countertops, modern, European-sized gas range and dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and coffee station with a variety of k-cups, French press, a tea kettle and various teas, Magic Bullet blender (great for making smoothies) and toaster. The cold water in the kitchen has a two-stage filtration system.
Living Room – New leather couch with motorized recliners at each end, equipped with USB outlets, making for a cozy and relaxing space to wind down or watch movies on the 55-inch smart TV.
Bedrooms – One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a full size bed, both with all new high-quality bedding, memory foam mattresses and various density pillows. Nightstands are equipped with USB and AC outlets. Both rooms have a small chest of drawers and additional under bed storage.
Basement – Washer/dryer, ironing board/iron, drying rack, extra storage space. Please note that being an historic home, the stairs to the basement are narrow and steep.
Back yard – Being a single-family home, rather than a condo or townhome, the house has a large, fenced-in, cozy back yard with deck and flagstone patio. There is a patio table and umbrella with solar lights, as well as a wicker patio chair set and fire pit on the flagstone patio. There is also a barbecue grill for outdoor cooking and a vegetable garden for in-season vegetables.
Transportation/Parking – There is free on-street parking. You may also rent scooters and ebikes for getting around town by just downloading the Lyft, Lyme or Bird apps. There is one bike on the property for guests to use.
The house is a 20 - 25 minute walk or short bike/scooter ride to historic Larimer Square and downtown Denver, close to Coors Field, about a 30 minute drive to the famous Red Rocks theater, and about an hour away from fantastic mountain hiking. Mestizo-Curtis Park, the oldest park in the city, is one block away with a community pool (only open in summer), tennis court, basketball court, picnic tables and ball fields. You’ll often see locals having picnics, playing frisbee or throwing a football. If you’re coming to Denver for a short stay for work, family visits, medical care or other activities, this could be your very cozy, centrally-located home away from home.
Please contact me if you have any other questions about the space.
Pets: Small dogs allowed on a case-by-case basis. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee.
Access: Guests have access to the entire property with private entrance and private, fenced-in back yard.

About the host
Hosted by Patti B Kaygi

Hi, I’m Patti and my husband, Cem (aka Jim), and I have lived in the foothills of Denver for the last 39 years. We love hiking, camping, biking, snorkeling and traveling. In our retirement years, we have been privileged to visit some great spots. Some of our favorite places (other than Colorado, of course) are Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. Patti grew up in Alaska and Cem in Turkey, and we love meeting people from all over the world. We are excited to share our AirBnB home with you - we hope you enjoy it and all the great things Denver and Colorado have to offer. Please reach out with any questions!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this home 16 years ago as we love the Curtis Park/Five Points historic area and also have two daughters that live in the neighborhood. This allows us to stay close to take care of our grandchildren when needed. We love to share it with others when we are not there.
