About the host
Hosted by William Van Wyhe

My name is Bill, and I was born and raised in Iowa, where I got my traditional Midwest values from. I have been at this property in California since 2014. I love having guests from all over the world and try my best to provide a safe and comfortable stay for each and every one.
Why they chose this property
My property is located near downtown Desert Hot Springs and is within walking distance to groceries, fast food, and restaurants. The dry air and moderate temperatures in the cooler months make this a great place for retirees and anyone who enjoys the health benefits of such a climate. It gets very hot in the summer, but don't worry because the house has two mini-split air conditioners with inverters, one in the main house and one in the bedroom, which keeps it nice and comfy inside regardless of the outside temperature. Where Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley are at sea level, Desert Hot Springs is in the High Desert at about 1,000 feet of elevation. This makes it a little cooler in the summer and helps to moderate the extremes in all seasons.
What makes this property unique
Guests get off-street parking for one vehicle, and there are lots of street parking spaces available for any additional or oversized vehicles. There is a lighted street number sign and a well-lit path back to the rear house, making it easy to find even on the darkest nights. Once back at the house, you will be made to feel at home with comfy surroundings and all the latest amenities.
